DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW Presently, the paths on these two roads are in shocking condition. For example, Hurst Road is covered in potholes, and Oakhill Road is generally uneven, as some of it is made up of gravel, and several attempts to smoothen a small area has lead to a risen area, which people, specifically the elderly and those using wheelchairs, bikes and scooters may struggle to use. See next slide for images.

WHO WE ARE

We are a Year 10 citizenship group, who are campaigning for smoother, safer paths on Oakhill Road, (near 3 schools, one of which being Millais itself, and Horsham Train Station) and Hurst Road (near Horsham Hospital and the local leisure centre, Pavilions in the Park).

OUR PLANS

In order to ensure a change, we aim to create posters to put up around the school. We would also like to post leaflets through the doors of people residing in Hurst and Oakhill Roads. We also aim to write to the Horsham District County Council, to get them on our side.
