Smiths HR Shared Services: APAC Highlights Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) “A form of business process outsourcing where an employer transfers all or part of its recruitment processes to an external provider. Recruitment Process Outsourcing providers can manage the entire recruiting/hiring process, or can manage one or two aspects of the process, essentially serving as an extension of the company’s human resources department”. This definition illustrates that RPO services are not outsourcing in the traditional sense, as working with an RPO provider is much more consultative and customizable than normal recruiting. Cielo - Smiths RPO partner globally A global organization specialized in Recruitment Process Outsourcing. Cielo has its presence in 43 countries with 88+ clients. Smiths partners with Cielo in achieving the following objectives: Global initiative – enhance consistency in the recruitment strategy Liberate time for recruitment (and administration) Decrease the extensive use of recruitment agencies Develop Smiths divisions employer brand Improve resourcing knowledge and expertise across the area Reduce cost of resourcing while increasing service to Hiring Managers Implementing a system to support the resourcing activity (ATS) RPO @ APAC Rolled out in SEA and India in Feb 2014. Since the launch, expertise of RPO team has been leveraged to meet most of the hiring needs in SEA and India. MyHR employee portal was launched in September last year and since then many employees have been using MyHR to find answers to their HR queries, validate their personal information or to stay updated with the most recent updates from the HRSC. MyHR is now an effective way of staying connected with HRSC. If you haven’t used it, give it a try!

‘Someone is Leaving’

‘Someone is Leaving’ is an HR process designed to enable line managers to initiate the necessary steps when a member of their team leaves their organization with ease and to ensure a smooth and professional exit for the employees.

Submission of ‘Someone is Leaving’ form will auto create a case in the HRSC case management system which acts as a trigger for HRSC to initiate termination action for the employee in GlobalView and BIS Joiner/Leaver tool.

Note: Termination action in GlobalView and BIS Joiner/Leaver tool are critical to completion of termination formalities for all employees.

Now, using MyHR, the completion of administration when an employee leaves Smiths is automated and will take you a few moments of your time.

Note: Access to this process in MyHR is restricted to Managers who have employees reporting to them.
