TELCOCAB CABINETSME’s TelcoCab series has been de-signed to host and operate all kinds of telecommunication equipment, pro-viding the necessary infrastructure for that equipment to work properly, even under the most hostile condi-tions.

TelcoCab models are plug & play so-lutions that integrate all necessary elements to guarantee the proper operation of the telecommunication equipment, as well as integrated man-agement and remote control systems to guarantee the equipment’s good condition.

Aside from the cabinet’s enclosure, the TelcoCabe series can include an AC power supply, DC power system, HVAC systems, MCI (Módulo de Con-trol Inteligente – Intelligent Control Module), batteries, BattCare and VIGIA, as well as any other ancillary equipments such as coaxial distribu-tion frames, fiber optic distribution frames or access control systems.

The TelcoCab series consists of three different cabinet models to meet spe-cific needs in each deployment. They can be customized depending on the project and customers requirements. The different models are: TelcoCab 180, TelcoCab 250 and TelcoCab 360.

SIDE PANEL CABINET

The side panel cabinet is SME’s innovative solution that allows hosting the auxiliary and energy equipment required for the deployment of radio access networks. This solution is unique and maintains the concept of an easy, quick-to-install, compact and versatile system.

The cabinet is able to accommodate a power supply system, backup batter-ies and transmission equipment, as well as the AC box and alarm systems required. It can also house telecommunications equipment, when necessary.

The side panel cabinet also includes a climate control system that ensures the right temperature for optimal equipment performance and the increase in the batteries’ lifespan.

What makes this solution unique is the form in which the electrical panel and the terminals of DC distribution (to which the RRU’s are connected) are in-stalled: in this case both are located on the left side of the cabinet.

MIMETIC CABINETSometimes, in order to deploy a mobile telecommunication network, it’s neces-sary to camouflage the base stations. The intention behind this decision is that of softening the visual impact that the cabinet may have on the installation zone. SME has designed its own mimetic cabinet in order to offer this solution for mobile telecommunication deployments.

For broadband deployments and XDSL, SME has designed a series of outdoor solutions to prevent any eventuality that might happen on an installation. This is the case of the XDSL/FTTB cabinet.

HIGH-CAPACITY CABINET

3G/4G MICRO CABINET

In some locations, the space that we have to deploy the 3G/4G mobile phone networks is minimal. For this kind of scenarios SME has as solution the 3G Micro Cabinets.

The main features of these cabinets are:

• Outdoor cabinet for 3G deployment. • Equipment conditioning based on TEC. • Batteries in additional cabinet. • Floor, wall or pole mounting.

At SME we consider our envi-ronmental commitment to be of key importance in our work. That’s the reason why we have developed a series of energy ef-ficiency solutions to reduce the carbon footprint. Our EcoCube is one of these solutions and it’s an example of “hybrid system”.

Hybrid systems with backup generators offer minimum fuel consumption. This is due to the generator operating only to help during high load periods or low renewable energy avail-ability. This proves to be a large reduction in fuel consumption compared to using a single gen-erator as the only power supply source.

The energy efficiency solution BattCare presents an advanced thermal condi-tioning that lengthens the batteries’ usable life and which can also be custom-ized to meet the client’s requirements. SME has two models of BattCare for cabinets: for two, four and five battery strings.

The following datasheet shows the main features of a two battery string BattCare.

The EfiCooling is an intelligent free-cooling system designed by SME that takes full advantage of forced ventilation and ambient air in order to reduce energy consumption in air control.

The new range of server racks developed by SME has been especially designed to achieve a highly robust, flexible and adapt-able, modular product.

Our design has been conceived not only to meet the integrity and availability required of the services and frames concerning Data Centers, but also to comply with our strong commitment towards the environ-ment thanks to the power efficiency and low emission features our products are known for.

EfiCab enables, in a simple way, not only the housing of rack mounted servers, blade servers, etc., but also the storage of a full set of very useful and value-added equip-ment (routers, gateways, encoders, KVM, PDU’s, etc.)

EFICUBE

EfiCube is an ACS (Air Containment System) solution developed by SME that allows separation between the cold air supply needed to cool the IT equipment, and the hot return air produced by said equipment during its work cycle.

This air stream separation inside the Data Center entails several energetic ben-efits: it achieves a higher thermal efficiency, it lowers the PUE and it also com-plies with SME’s environmental commitment, meeting the Green Data Center’s standards.

SME’s EfiCube is the best solution for an environment such as Data Centers, where the highest efficiency possible is always required.

• Built in a steel sheet• Roof built in a polycarbonate sheet• Sealed shut in any zone vulnerable to non-controlled

RACK MONITORING SYSTEMSME’s RMS (Rack Monitoring System) is part of the VIGÍA product family, ex-clusively designed by SME. The RMS is a specialized managing unit for rack infrastructure that houses important systems such as servers or network equipment.

SME’s RMS-VIGÍA performs as a web server and therefore, it only needs an IP address in order to be connected to the network. The RMS-VIGÍA also per-forms as a SNMP server and has its own MIB, which ensures its management from any open SNMP management platform.

MAINFEATURES

• Part of the VIGÍA product family• Rack access control thanks to RFID cards in both front

and rear doors• Rack climate control: temperature and relative humid-

ity measurements in both upper and lower areas. The RMS makes sure the measurements are within correct values.

• Environmental conditions control: the RMS detects and forewarns about anomalies such as flooding for water leakage, smoke, hits and vibrations, etc.
