Introduction
SME Summit 2013 is a programme for the entrepreneurs from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as well as for Potential Entrepreneurs. The agenda of the programme is to solve the financial queries of the business related to financial facilities like OD, TL, BG, LC, Working Capital, Different types of subsidies, Different Government Policies, Import-Export Opportunities for MSMEs, Schemes of NSIC, MSME Registration & Govt. Assistance & Incentives, Subsidies, etc., Schemes of Govt. of India & Incentives, Facilities to Business Incubation, etc.., Role of Bank and MSME Finance, Emerging new opportunities & markets for MSMEs & Role of MPCB for MSMEs which are helpful for the entrepreneurs.
The Summit provided enormous opportunities to the MSMEs from Mumbai - Navi
Mumbai, Thane and various parts of the Maharashtra to identify potential opportunities in different markets across the state for joint ventures, technology transfer and contract manufacturing tie-ups.
The Summit offered platform for MSMEs to avail benefits of their products and
services, identify their potential suppliers, buyers and enhance their connectivity.

8 Mr. Vinod Paratkar: Director, MiDi, Engaged in the field of Entrepreneurship Development for last 30 years and has experience of working with many National and International organizations like, UNIDO,UNDP, IFAD, SNV, UNODC, ILO, EC, IICCI etc.

2006.
MiDi is associated with Leading Public Sector Banks. With in a short span of Seven years MiDi is able to establish ourselves as one of the emerging bank support services and finance facilitator, particularly in Micro, Small, Medium and Large scale enterprises in Maharashtra.

B) NSIC Schemes: National Small Industries Corporation - Mr. Abhishek Madne
i) Single Point Registration Scheme: NSIC registers Small Scale Units which
have got necessary capabilities in term of finance as well as technology for providing goods to various government agencies.
ii) Performance and Credit Rating: This scheme has been introduced for the
first time in the country in Union Budget 2004-05 for SSI Units. NSIC is nodal agency for implementation of the scheme.
iii) Infomediary Services is a one-stop, one window to assist SSI Units by providing information on business, technology and finance, and also exhibit the core competence of Indian SMEs in terms of price and quality, internationally, as well as domestically.
iv) Facilitation of credit to small enterprises through banks, NSIC has entered into a strategic alliance with five public sector banks to facilitate long-term working capital financing requirements to small enterprises.
v) Finance for procurement of raw material against bank guarantee, Small Scale Industries often face shortage of quality raw material. In order to bridge the gaps, the Corporation provides raw material assistance to SSI units.

C) MSME Registration & Govt Assistance & Incentives, Subsidies, etc, (DIC) : -Mr. V.W. Bhamre
DIC’s Main Activity To develop and promote Cottage and Small Scale Industries in the district. The Small Scale Industries (SSI)
means the Industries with investment above 25 lakh and up to Rs 5 (five) crore in plant & machinery. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEMES (DEPARTMENTAL) 1) PMEGP (Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme): 1. Features • The Scheme is implemented through KVIC and State/UT Khadi & V.I. Boards in Rural areas and through
District Industries Centres in Urban and Rural areas in ratio of 30:30:40 between KVIC / KVIB / DIC respectively.
• No income ceiling for setting up of projects. • Assistance under the Scheme is available only to new units to be established. • Existing units or units already availed any Govt. Subsidy either under State/Central Govt. Schemes are not
eligible. • Any industry including Coir Based projects excluding those mentioned in the negative list. • Per capita investment should not exceed Rs. 1.00 lakhs in plain areas and Rs. 1.50 lakhs in Hilly areas. • Maximum project cost of Rs. 25.00 lakhs in manufacturing sector and Rs. 10.00 lakhs in Service Sector. 2) Package Scheme of Incentive (PSI) 2013:
