Enterprise Development Expo 2012

An exciting new initiative that formed part of the 2012 event was the introduction of the Enterprise

Development Expo.

“Today’s investment in Enterprise Development is Tomorrow’s Security of Supply” –

This is a key theme that all buyers should be embracing as part of their procurement strategies. Whilst this poses many challenges for Big Business, there are already a number of excellent initiatives

taking place in leading organisations to ensure the sustainable development of SMME’s. One of the key ways in which growth and development is also achieved is by providing SMME’s with access to new

markets.

Smart Procurement World in collaboration with Absa Enterprise Development and Supply Chain Network provided both the public and private sector Big Businesses with the opportunity to showcase their leading

Black Owned Suppliers as part of an Enterprise Development Expo.

This afforded these black owned SMME’s, highly rated by their clients, with an excellent opportunity to be discovered by other Big Businesses attending the event. In addition to this, Big Businesses also had the

opportunity to position themselves as leaders in Sustainable Enterprise Development.
