Important information
The hardware key (which is sometimes known as a dongle) supplied with CADS SMART Scaffolder must be connected to your computer before you can use the software.
Local hardware key
If you have a (green or black) local hardware key, this key is inserted into the USB port of your computer.
Please only insert the hardware key once the software installation has completed – do not install the software with the key connected to the computer.
Network hardware key
If you have a (red or black) network key, it can be connected to another computer on your network. You will need to tell SMART Scaffolder where the hardware key is located.
To do this, please launch the CADS Hardware Update Utility, which was installed with SMART Scaffolder.
Select the Set up my network hardware key option.
Then enter the name or IP address of the licence computer in the box provided and press Apply.
If you have any trouble using your hardware key, or if you do not have a USB port, please contact CADS for assistance.
Please read this before you start.
