Smart Cites--Why Smart Infrastructure?• Increasing capacity, efficiency, reliability and resilience.• More from existing assets.• Increased understanding of the performance of our

infrastructure will allow new infrastructure to be built.

Better performance, lower cost• More intelligent operation of mature networks• Longer life and more efficient operation for new Infrastructure• Better whole-life value

Why now?• Infrastructure maturity• Digital abundance• Innovation

A few words on “digitalization” (and related terminology)Challenge: Information when/where it’s needed…

Information stored here (analog) …

… but needed here!

Concrete Maturity

Limitations

19

Limitations

• How well is the device connected?• What is the life of IoT device?• Where is the device located?• How reliable is the data of IoT device?• What are the best Data analytics?

• ASTM provides ‘general’ recommendations for datum temperature and activation energy values.

• High early-age temperatures will result in inaccurate predictions of long-term strength.

• Maturity assumes adequate curing is provided so it does not account for humidity conditions in the field.

The aim is to create a workless (document less) workplace with stable and direct connection to supporting structures for the work.

• Data Erasure: Sensitive data must be destroyed after the expiration date

• Scope & Retention: Sensitive data cannot be processed with a different goal than allowed

• Consent & Revocation: Must be asked for consents when organizations want to manage new pieces of their sensitive data. Additional, revocations of consents must be available

• Portability: Data sharing between different organizations must be carried out in compliance to the current regulation and the citizen’s preferences

• Anonymization: Relevant pieces of citizens’/employee sensitive data must be anonymous when they decide it.
