Congratulations on your purchase of your new vacuum cleaner. There aremany useful features built into your cleaner and we recommend that you carefully readthis instruction book so that you may take best advantage of them.

BEFORE YOU BEGINThis product must be operated in accordance with these instructions and used only fordomestic cleaning to remove DRY dirt and dust from household carpets, fl ooring andfabrics.This cleaner is intended for domestic household use only and is not designed for thecollection of vitreous building material including particle board construction productsand similar products such as wood/fi bres, sand, cement, fi llers, fi bre glass etc. The pickup of these materials may be harmful to your cleaner and will void the manufacturer’s warranty.

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY.This will ensure you obtain full benefi t from your new cleaner. Keep this Instruction Book in a handy place for future reference.

IMPORTANTAlways switch the cleaner off and remove the plug from the electricity supply beforecleaning your appliance, when not in use, or attempting any maintenance task. Thecleaner must only be connected to an AC supply at the voltage shown on the ratingplate. This cleaner should only be used for its intended purpose as described in theseinstructions. Never operate the vacuum cleaner without fi lters.DO NOT pick up hard or sharp objects, matches, hot ashes, cigarette ends orsimilar items.DO NOT pick up fl ammable liquids such as cleaning fl uids, petrol etc., or use in thepresence of such vapors.DO NOT use your cleaner out of doors or on any wet surface or for WET pick-up.DO NOT run over the power cable with the Power Brush.Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Close attention is necessary when used near children.* This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reducedphysical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unlessthey have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by aperson responsible for their safety.

If using an extension cord please make sure that it is of an approved type and that it isfully extended. Failure to do so could cause your cleaner to overheat and damage it.

FAULTS

Do not continue to use this appliance if it appears to be faulty or the supply cord isdamaged. If a fault cannot be rectifi ed, please return to the point of purchase.If damaged, return the cleaner for repair by an authorised Service Centrein order to avoid a safety hazard.

Consult the trouble shooting guide in this manual if your vacuum cleaner fails to operateproperly. Contact an authorised service agent if the problem persists.

AFTER USE

Switch the cleaner off and remove the plug from the electricity supply. Always switchoff and remove the plug before attaching any accessories or cleaning the appliance.

PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

When you have unpacked the unit, do not simply throw the packing into the householdwaste. Take them to an appropriate collecting point for the recycling.

PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION

Motor does not start or stops.

Suction force gradually decreases

No power supply

Filters are dirty, suctionhose or wand is blocked

Check cable, plug and socket. If still inoperative, contact service agent.

Clean or replace fi lters, remove objects fromhose and wand.

1. Insert the hose end to the cleaner until locks in to place

ASSEMBLING YOUR CLEANER

The cleaner should be switched off and disconnected from the mains supply before you start to assemble.

3. Fit the other end of the telescopic wand to the hand piece.

5. Press the On/Off button to switch the appliance on.

2. Insert the wand into the fl oor brush.

4. Never extend the power cord furtherthan the yellow mark.

6. Twist the power regulation knob to adjust the performance of the appliance.

CLEANING THE DUST BIN

The cleaner should be switched off and disconnected from the mains supply.Never operate without fi lters as damage to cleaner could occur. Empty the dust tankafter every use failing to do so may clog the fi lters and cause poor suction.

1. To empty dust bin, press the button on the dust bin handle and lift up.

3. To clean dust bin fi lter, turn anti-clockwise and remove from dust bin.

5. Reinsert fi lter back into dust bin, turn clockwise to lock, then close the base fl ap.

2. Push the button at the front of the dust bin to release the base fl ap.

4. Rinse with warm water and allow to dry, or wipe with cloth.

6. Reinsert the dust bin back into the appliance. A ‘click’ will be made when the bin is properly secured.

CHANGING OR CLEANING THE HEPA FILTER

The cleaner should be switched off and disconnected from the mains supply.Never operate without fi lters as damage to cleaner could occur. Empty the dust tankafter every use failing to do so may clog the fi lters and cause poor suction.

REPLACING THE EXHAUST AIR FILTER

Clean up the dust in the dust container regularly to avoid failure.When cleaning, avoid scrubbing with a brush as it may damage the fi lters.All fi lters must be allowed to air dry for minimum 24 hours.Filter must be completely Dry before refi tting.

1. When the fi lter indicator turns red fi lter need cleaning or replacing.

1. Squeeze the dust bin release buttons. Lift lid and remove dust bin.

2. Remove dust bin and pull the fi lter out in a horizontal direction. Replace, or rinse with warm water. Allow to dry for 24 hours.

2. Remove and replace the fi lter. Return dust bag and close front cover.
