Using numerous examples drawn from Pixar’s feature films, this talk will provide a behind the scenes look at the role these disciplines have played in the revolution. Wavelets for Computer Graphics: Wavelets are a mathematical tool for hierarchically decomposing functions. They allow any function to be described in terms of a coarse overall shape, plus details that range from broad to narrow.
