SLT notes February 2015 Blythe Elementary School School Report Card- Based on proficiency of students and not growth. 80% based on proficiency and 20% on growth. Map Data- all grade levels but second grade should an increase in scores from previous year. Map Scores for 3rd grade are good predictor for EOG scores. 4th and 5th grade levels scores are a little higher than Reading EOG score. 4th and 5th grade math scores are a good predictor of EOG scores. 4th-5th grade working on reading stamina. Using intervention reading groups in k-2. Math Night-parents wanted to know app to use and games to play with their children. Not great attendance. Next year a primary night and intermediate night to get more attendance. A lot of surveys returned but those who filled it out did not come. Try to do something with dinner so more families can come. Staff Changes- New PE teacher Mr. B, new custodian, Andrea White 23rd new music teacher taking Mrs. Adams place who is going to Washam. Maternity leaves covered for 3 teachers. Two tutors and a half time assistant to be hired. New AU assistant hired since classes have 9 instead of 8. New lunchroom monitor since other lunch monitor is now media assistant. Insight survey- Learning Environment is the area Itzhaki working. Attendance- 3 day, 6 day, and 10 day letter on unexcused. Have an issue with coming in late and leaving early for unexcused. 3 unexcused tardies no attendance ribbon at Right Moves Rally.
