A reminiscence of the happenings
that made school life exceptional and

bestow his benign blessings on all of us ever more
and give us strength to move ahead in Life with deep faith in him.

With the opening of this letter, let
me take this chance to thank all
of you for giving us great co-
operation. Any work needs a

involvement to show a successful
outcome and this is not the task
of one person. It demands team
work and we are glad to say that
you have been a constant
support in helping us achieve our goals.
We try our Best to provide an educational friendly environment for the
kids and encourage them to give an outstanding performance in any front
they choose. In this fast paced world where everyone is immersed in
proving their caliber and to outshine others, we always provide a platform
to our students to respect their flaws, groom them and exhibit great
results. This in a way leads to a building of confidence and facing the
highly competitive era out there.
We look forward to upgrade our teaching methods every year and polish
our existing format of schooling which in turn gives us proud results. We
prepare ourselves to offer all that is needed for our student's bright
future. We strive to be the place, medium for our children to achieve their
future endeavors and secure their education.
Regards.
M. P. Shastri (Executive Director)
Dear Parents, Students and Teachers,
"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression
and knowledge." These are the words of Albert Einstein, which we truly
endorse, at SomLalit School. This school not only upholds Ethics,
Traditional Values, Culture, but also inculcates Effective Communication
skills, and encourages Reflective and Creative thinking in each and every
student!
As I recapitulate this academic year, the first term has goneby smoothly, and I realize how
blessed we all are to be part of Som Lalit School. Our Administrators, Teachers and
Facilitators commit themselves with renewed energy every day, working hard, toward
creating a nurturing loving learning environment in which our students can strive to achieve
their best potential!
This paradigm shift from linear learning to hyper media and activity based learning, wherein
technology and pedagogy meet is dynamic. It's a shift from static instruction to construction
and connection with the basic concepts learnt, from teacher centric to student centric
education, which is notaimed at learning at the school level, but aimed at Learning for life!
We realize that Parents, School and teachers are a tripod stand that help and support each
other towards their common goal- a better future for every student. Thus at SomLalit School
every teacher is a Friend and Facilitator, in this trend of encouraging Proactive learning
amidst all students. Here Excellence is not a dream but a reality! This is apparent from the
laurels won by our school students in the Board Exams, academics, sports, and cultural
activities in various spheres of life .Qudos to all the Parents,Studentsand Teachers!
Last but not the least we have our Diwali vacation round the corner, soenjoy and come back
refreshed for a wonderful new term! Have a Happy Diwali and a Great New Year ahead!
ShyamaDatta. (Principal.)

A Group exploration or a sightseeing tour is always a fun way of educating kids through
experimental learning. Such field trips help to create a rapport between a teacher and the child
providing some chance to interact outside the school, thus, grooming their social and life skills.

Commemorating and remembering Lord Krishna's birth ceremony filled the atmosphere with the sounds of '
GOVIND BOLO HARI GOPAL BOLO'. The cherubs dressed up as little Krishna and Radhas and made our
school look like an ancient scene of Vrundavan. The high luminaries carried out the lighting of the lamp and
pooja aarti. The celebration was a great time of triumph comprising of little Radha's dance, Dhun Chanting,
Matkifod and disco moves. Indeed everyone has Lord Krishna in them. Those adorable smiles spoke all of it.
For the Independence Day celebration, kids
prepared and spoke short lines on freedom
fighters, sang patriotic group songs and amazed us
with their grasping abilities.
Vinayak Chaturthi was celebrated with great fervor and earnestness. It was opened by a pious Ganesh Aarti by
the respected dignitaries. Also, a short story telling act on Lord Ganesha's important life episodes was enacted
by teachers which was stuffed with devotion and piousness. It was followed by a Ganpati Dhun and concluded
by distributing Prashad to the children.

knowledge and upgrade their skills. The informative content of the Assembly like Facts, News,
Quotes, and speech inculcate a new intelligence and learning. Assembly boosts the kids to
overcome their insecurities and lack of confidence in facing the crowd and speak fluently with
certainty and fortitude. The inaugural assemblies have been a constant morale booster for the

Me and my company,
My Life and Me.
We sit hand in hand
Saw many come and many go,
A few stayed longer but still chose to go..
This made days, months, years and many
more,
Now we sit and smile to those who come,
and smile with tears to those who go..
Here we stay
Me and my company,
My Life and Me.

The world that we live in today, all equipped and full of technology around has provided us with a lot of ease. But at
the same time, has gifted us something that has held us captive with Stress. We all have different perspectives and
reasons when we hear the word stress, but by definition, it means a state of mental or emotional strain or tension
resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances. It can be mental or physical. The advances in technology have
definitely freed us of the physical stress but if we probe further, it has equally added to our mental stress.
The stress can have two impacts, positive as well as negative. The positive stress is also known as eustress which is
the one that is constructive in nature and it helps us grow as an individual or the one that is caused out of pure
excitement of getting something done perfectly well. Eg: the one that we face at our workplace which helps in our
progress and boosts our performance. It is good to have it in the right amount and for the right reasons. The
negative stress is also known as distress. It occurs when a person is unable to cope up with a situation Eg: death of
a dear one, being hated or neglected, illness, divorce, etc.
Thus, make sure you turn all your distress in eustress and make yourself mentally, physically, spiritually and socially
peaceful. -Prepared by TENAZ ZAIWALA.

Earth- I Want PeaceI am big and round,
I wonder if there will be peace;
I hear the sound of people
Who are being killed,
I see the people crying for life,
I want to help my people to survive.
I am big and round,
I feel the weight of sorrow on me,
I want my people to be happy and
free,
I worry about their future in deep,
I cry for help from the heaven of
which I am beneath.
I am big and round,
I understand people and their
issues on me,
I pass my grace to the people,
I dream about my past,
I try to handle my sorrow,
I hope I won't be destroyed,
I hope I get my peace attained.

Education is the most important part of our life.
Without education we cant reach our heights of
success. Basic education is the right of every individual.
Education makes our life easy and it is not preparation
for life but life itself. Education is the most powerful
weapon which can fight the ups and downs that we
face due to the changing world scenarios.

When you are green, you are growing…' The Go Green carousal at our school
was full of awareness on how to preserve Mother Earth. The ideas they chose
to propagate the 'SAVE TREES, SAVE EARTH' theme were incredible. Moreover,
there was so much of dedication in each little act they performed. The cherubs
fancied themselves as trees by putting on green fineries and some add on.
They carried along small saplings and promised to grow it bigger and rear
them. The elder students acted out skits on conserving our planet and the little
descendants briefly travelled and rallied through school, corridors chanting
slogans. Each one of them aced their roles and made this day commendable
and admirable.
Yoga is an integral form of mind and body meditation that develops a calm
state of an individual in every way. The teens performed amazing yoga poses
and stretched their physical strength. It was a perfect day to celebrate our
overall being and experience a soothing atmosphere around.
Kids tried their artistic skills and the outcome was breath-taking
pieces of art.

The Best quality of a Human being is Empathy. When we had a
whole space filled with aid for kerela flood striken victims, we
were proud to say that our children and staff members possess
the above quality to the core. They gathered and executed such
an act of benevolence towards the human race with utmost
concern and whole heartedness. They provided all the basic
needs that could be of help to all those suffering the result of the
natural calamity in kerela.

A team of doctors conducted a Health Check up at our school.

The solo playacting competition had a varied choice
of people made by the disciples. They showcased
themselves exactly like the character chosen and
made it real by tagging their dialogues with depth
and involvement. It was a tough clash as each on
was a class in their own way. But the judges
unanimously came to a joint conclusion and
appreciated the efforts of all those who participated
and announced the best performers for that day.

The trip to Balasinor and Dinosaur Park
was memorable and notable. Children
relished each moment of the day with a lot
of craze and mirth. The picnic was surely a
way to spend some favorable time with
their fellow mates and make it a pleasant
day to remember. Food, snacks, games,
trekking made the kids want a longer day
to extend their stay at the venue. It was an
enjoyable and truly a dawn-to dark fun day.
The pure and emotional bond of Brother-Sister was celebrated
with abundance of joy and love. The boys were tied Rakhis by
their little sisters and the brothers in turn promised to be around
them in time of need and help. They spread the thought of the
sibling connection. The jollification brought a feeling of warmth,
responsibility and warm fellowship

Swachh Bharat AbhiyanThe Teachers Day ceremony was the most likable and gratifying
day at school. The teen students organized the whole day in the
appreciation of their educators. They prepared cards, recited
thoughts, performed dance, educated the other students,
decorated the staff room premises and gave a day of complete
fun and amusement to their faculties. The mentors thoroughly
enjoyed each activity and took back the endless memories our

Oklahoma Astronaut Corn Maze Photographed
From Space
It’s apt that a maze cut into an Oklahoma cornfield
featuring the likeness of a former NASA astronaut can
be seen from space — and has been photographed by
a satellite orbiting Earth.
The image of Oklahoma-born Thomas P. Stafford is
cut into a 10-acre field at P Bar Farms in Hydro, about
60 miles west of Oklahoma City.
The maze was created in partnership with the Stafford
Air and Space Museum, named for the astronaut, in
nearby Weatherford.
A satellite photographed the tribute from its orbit 400
miles away.
The 88-year-old Stafford is a Weatherford native
whose space missions included commanding the
Apollo flight that linked with a Soviet spacecraft in
1975. It was the first meeting of American astronauts
and Soviet cosmonauts in space.
