country in Central Europe

• The capital city of Slovakia is Bratislava

• Slovakia has about 5.120.000 inhabitants

• Levoča is located in eastern Slovakia• it is a small town with the historical center and preserved

town wall • it was added to UNESCO´s World Heritage List

OUR SCHOOL

• a full name of school (Slovak language) – Základná škola Francisciho 11

• the school is situated in the housing estate WEST• it has 27 classes and 495 pupils

History of school

• the school was officially put into using on 5th April 1982

• it was designed as 22-class school for 660 pupils

• our school was reconstructed 3 years ago

Managment of school• Headmaster in our school is Mgr. Peter Tatarko• Vice headmasters are Mgr. Marta Olejárová and Mgr. Viera Adamkovičová

Teachers in school• Teachers in our

school are very helpful and friendly.

• Some of them are sometimes strict, but it isn´t bad. They only want to make us clever.

Pupils in school• In our school there

are pupils from 6 to 16 years.

• The most frequent names in school are David and Timea.

• The most pupils are 13 and 14 year old.

Rooms in school

• each class has its own classroom• there is also a classroom for foreign languages (mainly for

English)• our PE lessons are in town hall with which is school associated

with corridor• there are also classrooms for Informatics• there is the dining hall where pupils and teachers eat

School folklore ensemble• our school has got own

folklore ensemble• its name is VENČEK• its leaders are 2

teachers : Mgr. Mária Bariaková and Mgr. Ľubica Šefčíková

Competition in school• in our school there are

many competitions• they are in different

subjects and sports • competitions in singing

are called Slávik Slovenska and Dilongstar

• there are many competitions in sports like in dodgeball, football etc.

School in natureEvery year there are three or four classes that go to vicinity of

Levoča for a week and they learn about it.

They go to museums, museums in nature

and some other places, where they can

learn something.
