Seven years on, I am still using many o the techniques rom Sloan

impact o Sloan or me can be summarised in one word confdence.

The Sloan programme was a lie-changing experience. It

The content was relevant, my student peers were interesting, andwe all worked hard while having loads o un. It broadened my

knowledge across all acets o business management and opened

my eyes beyond a career that was previously deeply fnance ocused.

The course is still paying dividends. It connected me, and

continues to connect me, with a large number o highly capable

much, i not greater, value as the content o the programme itsel.

The programme was the right choice and I eel I have received an

My most valuable experiences came rom learning rom other Sloans

in my class. You are in a class with a huge amount o experienceacross a wide range o cultures and industries. This experience and

diversity results in a dynamic learning environment and I would

estimate that I learned at least as much rom my classmates as rom

Although the Sloan programme requires a large investment o time

normal career progression. I have been able to get and succeed in

roles that I do not believe would have been oered to me had I not

    completed the Sloan programme.

The most important single change I experienced has been the

confdence to talk about complex business problems at the most

senior levels within an organisation. I know early in my career

there were times when I kept a view or idea to mysel, particularly

in the ace o an aggressive colleague or super confdent

put my point o view across.

I am now leading the global expansion o a boutique hotel chain.

Sloan allowed me to move into this position and enabled me to lead

in architectural design and as an entrepreneur into an approach

that has allowed me to successully develop a global brand.

Finance, marketing and strategy are all key to building a brand,

but none o it is possible without people, their belie in a vision,

and their belie in themselves. Sloan gives you the leadership

The programme undoubtedly has a superb curriculum and great

    Living expenses

The ees or the Sloan programme do not include living expenses,

which vary according to your circumstances and liestyle. Typically,

or the duration o the programme, you should budget approximately

28,00043,000 or a amily, or 21,00027,000 or a single person

    in shared accommodation.

London is an exciting place in which to live and study. I becoming a Sloan Fellow means

relocating to London, and possibly bringing your amily with you, you have additional

    rewards and challenges ahead.

    Moving to London

Bringing my amily to London or the Sloan programme was a great

experience. London is a antastic place or amilies, with many

parks, museums, castles, zoos and arms in easy reach. The biggest

unexpected bonus was the way my child, Isabel, blossomed. She

arrived rom Mexico a shy three year old and fnished the year

with perect English pronunciation and social skills. The otherunexpected bonus was the support rom the Sloan class during

difcult times and the riendships not only with me as a Sloan, but

    with my whole amily.
