Using VoiceThread in the Classroom

What is VoiceThread?

VoiceThread is a way to host a conversation in the cloud revolving around slideshows of images, content, or other voices.

To begin:

1. Go to www.forsyth.ed.voicethread.com

2. Sign in with your normal FCS login.3. Go view the presentation in the

Lambert High School group called “VoiceThread as an alternative to discussion boards.”

4. Comment on each discussion slide using a different input method (video optional).

Your turn!

1. To begin your own presentation, click on “Create.”

2. Upload the PowerPoint that you brought with you to today’s training (it can be notes, images, or discussion questions).

3. Once the file is uploaded, click on “Comment” to add your voice to any slide that you feel needs additional explanation, then “share” your presentation with us.

That’s it!

• That’s all there is. • To share a presentation with a class,

when you click “share,” then click on that class, or create a new class by clicking the New Group button.
