The higher the level, the more capable in infrastructure, equipment and personnel.

Consists of district health care institutions with 50-100 bed capacities. (Referral Centers for the

Government-owned corporation created in 1995. Its main goal is to create a universal
health coverage for all Filipinos.

improvement of its benefits and delivery system. Almost all private hospitals are
Philhealth accredited.

Formal sector includes formal and contractual employees
