SLEEVESTHE SOLUTION YOU ’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR

THE CORE OF OUR VALVE
The core of the Larox pinch valve is the elastic sleeve, whichis the only part in contact with the medium. The full boresleeve integrates the valve to the pipeline. This full boredesign eliminates turbulence and minimizes pressurelosses. Technologically advanced Larox sleeves guaranteehigh wear and corrosion resistance, a trouble free operation, and extended lifetime. Our sleeves are 100% tight.
Larox sleeves are handmade layer bylayer in a quality process covered byISO 9001:2000. The standard sleevedesign consists of three sets of layers:the inner layer, the reinforcement layerand the outer layer.
• The inner layer, which is the onlypart in contact with the medium,is resistant to wear and chemicals.
• The reinforcement layer gives thesleeve its pressure retainingcapability. The operating pressureof the sleeve determines thereinforcement fabric to be usedin this layer.
• The outer layer protects the sleevefrom the external processenvironment.
All standard Larox sleeves areequipped with opening tags to ensurefull valve opening in all conditions.

SLEEVES
A WIDE RANGE OF MATERIAL
AND DESIGN OPTIONS
Pinch valves are often applied inaggressive, abrasive and corrosivemedia types, or in high-pressureapplications. To cover a wider rangeof applications, our R&D has developedseveral sleeve materials and con-structions to meet these industry-specific needs.
The high-grade Larox sleeve materialsrange from wear resistant styrenebutadiene to numerous otherelastomers and rubber compounds. These materials are highly resistantto abrasive and corrosive slurries, powders and granular substances.By introducing a HNBR, hydrogenatednitrile sleeve material, Larox sleevescan now handle temperatures up to160°C.
VACUUM SLEEVE
Specially designed for negative pressureapplications such as suction lines, pneumaticconveying with vacuum and for applicationswhere sleeve pulsation occurs.
• Sizes: from 80 to 700 mm
• Standard valve bodies: PV, PVE, PVE/Sand PVS
• Standard material range: SBRT, EPDMNBR, NR, HNBR, CR, FPM, CSM and IIR
• Three standard flange shapes• Opening tags as standard
SENSOMATE SLEEVE
Larox SensoMate sleeve detects andsignals critical wear.
• The sleeve incorporates a steel meshvulcanized between the wear layerand reinforcement cords of the sleeve
• For electrically conductive media
• Available with all standard sleevematerials and sizes
CONICAL SLEEVE
Conical sleeves ensure the most accuratecontrol in flow control applications.
• Sizes: from 25 to 400 mm
• Standard valve bodies: PV, PVE, PVE/Sand PVS
• Standard material range: SBRT, EPDM,NBR, NR, HNBR, CR, FPM, CSM and IIR
• Reduced port is normally smaller thanthe pipeline size
• Three standard flange shapes• Opening tags as standard
POLYURETHANE (PU) LINED SLEEVE
Larox sleeves with polyurethane liningensure improved protection against wear.Polyurethane has excellent resistance toabrasive media, which makes PU lined sleevesespecially suitable for demanding controlapplications.
• Maximum operating temperature: 80°C
• Sizes from 25 to 300 mm
• Applicable to most Larox standard sleevematerials

SPECIAL SLEEVE DESIGNS
Vacuum Sleeve Conical Sleeve SensoMate Sleeve Polyurethane (PU)Lined Sleeve
Several sleeve design options including a conical sleeve for controlvalves and a vacuum sleeve for negative pressure applications areavailable. Larox´s sleeves can withstand pressures from vacuum up to100 bar. Maintenance is easy as sleeve change requires no special tools.
