SLAHS #3 – Augustus F. Hawkins High School Project Completion Information
Scope of Work: This facility provides 334,681 sq. ft. of DSA approved space within five buildings for 9th-12th grades and support services. 75 Classrooms in four small learning communities with 2,025 seats. The athletic facilities include: synthetic football field (with soccer nets), all weather certified track, shot put, javelin, long jump, and pole vault areas. Chemistry and Science laboratories, Library, food service, lunch shelters, gymnasium, multi-purpose building with practice gym and performing arts stage and practice classrooms. Main Administration offices and four small learning center offices on upper floors. Surface parking garage for 187 vehicles with nine basketball courts on the upper deck. The total site is 15.37 acres (3.5 city blocks).
