THE SYSTEM

The ANA.NOVA® SL-complete® Stem system impresses with its design concept as a classical straight stem with a modern double contour and rectangular cross-section. The primary fixation of the ANA.NOVA® SL-complete® Stem is achieved by the long cortical fixation. The tried and tested biological fixation philosophy is combined with an innovative implantation technique that spares the bone and soft tissue.

TWO CCD ANGLES FOR OPTIMAL RECONSTRUCTION

For optimal reconstruction of the patient’s anatomy a standard stem (CCD angle of 127°) and a valgus stem (CCD angle of 135°) are available to the surgeon.The fixation of both variants is identical. The position of the neck and cone area is changed by the angle. The offset of the valgus variant is thus reduced by about 3mm compared with the standard variant, and the centre of rotation is shifted towards cranial by about 5mm. These two CCD angles and ball head neck options allow for optimal achievement of the desired centre of rotation of the femoral head.

INSTRUMENTS

The ANA.NOVA® stem system can be implanted from all the conventional approaches, whether anterior, antero-lateral or dorsal.Instruments are available for both variants, with the set being supplemented by the trial neck broach for the valgus stem. To prevent mix-ups, the locking lever is colour coded.
