Skull Drawing

• Create a view finder by folding a rectangular paper in half. Cut a square away from the center of the paper.

• Make 4 thumbnail sketches (10 points) of the skull(s)

-Find 4 different views/angles

-Spend up to 4-5 minutes for each thumbnail• Choose a best thumbnail and get started on your

final drawing (12x18)

• Line Qualities: Shows a variety types of lines, such as heavy weighted lines, soft, sharp, curvy, smooth, and etc.

1. Finish copying upside down drawing.

2. Start working on the contour line drawing of the shell(s)

Why? So we can practice contour line drawing and learn different quality of lines.

Contour Line Drawing

*Definition of contour drawing: a drawing technique in which artists draw edges of an object, by looking closely at the objects as they slowly move their drawing medium.

1. Find an interesting view of your shoe using a view finder.

2. Use at least 70% of the space to draw your shoe.
