Since the year 2012, Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Cen-ter has been an essential part of not just Bowling Greens act-ing community, but the city as a whole.

  • In 2014, SKyPAC was voted the Best Local Performing Site in Kentucky by readers of Kentucky Living Magazine.

Since March 2012, SKyPAC, formally known as the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center, has provided Bowling Green with a major center for Broadway shows, musicians both local and global, comedy acts and childrens productions . At the same time, it has also acted as a source of economic growth for the downtown area. A number of large scale business-ventures, includ-ing SKyPAC, were used to stimulate economic growth in the wake of the 2008 recession. Ac-cording to Micheal Buchanon, Judge-Executive of Warren County, SKyPAC was especially cost-productive to produce, since the recession af-fected the cost of labor and building materials. $3.985 million has been funneled into downtown Bowling Green as a direct result of SKyPAC spending habits. SKyPAC functions as not only a center for the arts, but also as a major economic asset to Bowling Green.

  • On April 13th, 2014, SKyPAC held their third annual Community Day. SKyPAC provided an afternoon of family-friendly entertainment, brining in musicians, art-ists and hands-on activities.
