Skills for Entrepreneurship: SANDESH - ICARE

IL&FS Skills has designed and developed this programme in partnership with IIM – Ahmedabad for the Women Development Corporation, Government of Kerala

Target Group: Women in the age group of 21-45 years

Objective: To offer training in modern management techniques, finance management, computer skills and other critical aspects of running a business enterprise. The programme is designed to help the trainee understand all aspects of business and also handhold her in finding the right kind of businesses she can run successfully

Programme Design: It is designed as a flexi-program keeping in mind the practical difficulties of attending classes everyday. The minimum duration of course completion is 6 months

Delivery Mechanism: A blended learning methodology is uded that includes a mix of instructor led training and ICT tools. The emphasis is on participative learning

Outcome expected: To build a critical mass of Entrepreneurs locally across the country to address the growing demand for rural manpower for affordable technologies, products and services in sectors like Retail, Agriculture, FMCG, Banking, Health etc. It will enable rural women and youth to become employable and self starters in business as well as their exisiting or future jobs
