Munich Airport offers its passengers 41 parking areas with a total of 32,000 parking spaces. Up to 4,500 parkers check in and out of the most frequented one every day. 330 devices work in seamless co-op-eration to ensure a smooth traffic flow from entry to exit. A parking guid-ance system was integrated into the solution platform to meet the op-erator‘s high standards in customer service, convenience and security.

Since January 2009, Munich Airport offers a new, convenient service: the SKIDATA on-line reservation system. This provides a seamless con-nection between the the Internet reservation platform and the SKIDATA PMS system. From now on, passengers and guests can pre-book their parking space over the Internet - easily, conveniently and up to six months in advance. With the same credit card they can book, check in and out of the car park, and pay the parking charges. Only a small service fee is charged when the booking is made. The actual parking fee, which depends on the time of stay, is only charged at the airport and can be paid by credit card at the exit terminal. The airport currently offers this service at 11 of its 41 car parks and plans to extend it to further facilities in the future.
