1 Remember speed is your friend

Speed and commitment are really important for nailing this manoeuvre, since the faster you’re going the longer you’ll be able to slide along the lip. To make sure your slash is as impressive as it can be, max out with no turns as

you head for your chosen point on the windlip.

2 Get ready Stay at maximum

speed as you climb the face, keeping your position low and flexible, and holding the board flat for stability. Focus your gaze on the spot where you’re

going to cut back on yourself to slash up a big plume of snow on the lip.

3 Slash it! As you hit the edge of

the windlip commit body and legs (all the way to your ankles) to turning down the face. However, keep your upper body

parallel to the lip and look along the top of it. At this point, the harder you push your edge into the snow the bigger your slash will be.

4 Slide off Digging in your edge

to make the slash massively hacks off speed,

so timing is important. Before you come to a complete stop, flatten your board and drop down the face of the lip. Awesome fun in deep powder!
