Prior to NX 6.0, you could set the number of decimal places for Sketch dimensions using the... Preferences > Sketch... ...dialog, however this was a global setting which would set the decimal places for ALL sketch dimensions, existing as well as future. However, starting in NX 6.0 we added a separate... Preferences > Annotation... ...dialog which behaves like when setting Drafting parameters in that making a change to the decimal place settings here will only effect future Sketch dimensions. If you wish to change the decimal places of a specific Sketch dimension, again it's done like in Drafting where you select the Sketch dimension, press MB3, select Style and edit the Decimal places under the Dimensions tab. Remember to keep in mind that the number of decimal places used by the expressions associated with the Sketch dimensions will not be effected in any way by what you've set the displayed decimal places to be when viewing the sketch in the Sketcher task. I am using NX6, does this mean that I cannot set sketch dimension preferences separately from drafting dimensions? Yes, that is true. But if you work in the Master Model approach, your models (and thus your sketches) will be in a different Part file than the Drawings anyway, which means that you can have different annotation settings, one for your Sketches and one for your Drawings. To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Good point. We do use the master model approach, so it should all work out.

Thanks John.
