Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites applications for
scholarships, onprescribed data-sheet, from Nepalese nationals
desirous of pursuing thefollowing post-graduate/Ph. courses in
Indian !niversities and Institutionsduring the academic year

'i( Silver Jubilee Scholarship Scheme) Provides scholarships for
Post-Graduate $#"%#%#.Sc#%' and Ph.D studies in all courses
e*ceptEngineering, +griculture, edicine and para medical. or post
graduate courses,applicants should be graduates, should have
minimum # mar0s in aggregateat the bachelors1 level from a
recogni2ed !niversity /Institute, minimum #mar0s in English in
3lass 4II and should be %# years or less as on 5uly $, "#$%.
6ub7ect opted for post-graduation should be compatible with the
sub7ect ta0en atbachelor1s level. or Ph. course, applicants should
be post graduate from arecogni2ed !niversity/ Institute with good
academic record fulfilling there8uirements of the concerned
institute. +ge limit for Ph is %9 years for menand &9 years for
women as on 5uly $, "#$%.
'ii( Dr. !omi J. "habha Scholarship SchemeProvides scholarships
for#E coursein India. +pplicants should be "9 years or less as on
5uly $, "#$%and should have minimum # aggregate mar0s in :E.

:.6c.'+griculture( and minimum 9# mar0s in English in 3lass

/nly those candidates 0ho have passed their "achelor and Post
Graduatelevel e1aminations can apply for the above Post- Graduate
and Ph.Dcourses respectively.
(. Selection Process
'i( 6hort-listed candidates will be called for interview, which
will be conductedin Kathmandu, :irgun7 and :iratnagar. ;hey are
advised to interact solely with
the Education ffice, :iratnagar about thescholarship. ;he
candidates should indicate their address and contact
telephonenumbers / e-mail address clearly in the prescribed column
of the applicationform. +ny change in address/telephone number
should also be intimatedimmediately through a letter.
$ii' 6election will be based on the applicant1s academic record
andperformance in the interview. ?owever, nomination of a candidate
by theEmbassy does not guarantee admission to any Indian
college/university for theabove courses. 3onfirmation of admission
by the Embassy will be given only
after receipt of the same from the concerned Indian !niversity.

not be entertained. If candidates 0ithdra0 or re4ect the
scholarship offeredby the Embassy due to non- placement in a
colle&einstitution of theirchoice, they 0ill be debarred from
future scholarship of the Embassy.
ii( 6ubmission of incorrect information/Incomplete application
forms by thecandidate may result in forfeiture of the scholarship
at any stage.
iii( 3andidates belonging to "ara, Parsa, 2autahat, Dhanusa,
#ahottari,Sarlahi, #a50anpur and hit0an districts should submit
their applicationsto onsulate General of India, Shreepur,
"ir&un4.
'iv( 6imilarly candidates of Siraha, 6daypur, Saptari, Sunsari,
#oran&,Dhan5uta, Jhapa and Illam should submit their forms at
Embassy of India,amp /ffice, "iratna&ar.
'v( 3andidates belonging to rest of Nepal should submit their
applicationforms to Embassy of India, Kathmandu.
+. Instructions for fillin& form
i( ;he application form may be downloaded from the Indian
Embassywebsite www.indianembassy.org.np , filled in legibly,
preferably typed and shouldbe submitted in si* copies. 3andidates
are re8uired to submit application at onlyone place i.e. either at
Embassy of India, Kathmandu or at 3onsulate =eneral ofIndia,
:irgun7 or Embassy of India, 3amp >ffice, :iratnagar alongwith
the originalcounterfoil of :an0 @oucher, showing that the
application fee of As.#/- hasbeen deposited in the Education I,

'ii( 3andidates should attach latest passport si2e attested
photographs, dulyattested mar0 sheets/ transcripts of 3lass 4II/
=raduation/ Post =raduation andciti2enship certificate. 3andidates
are re8uested to submit photocopy ofciti2enship duly translated in
English language and certified by 7otary Public./ri&inals need
not be attached at this sta&e .
'iii( orms will be accepted on all wor0ing days between $### hrs

deposited will not berefunded or ad7usted under any
circumstances.
