p PREACHING WITHOUT WORDS Learners from St Vincent's School for the Deaf asked the congregation to imagine a better world filled with truth, justice, and love.

At a rate closely related to the speed of light, the term has drawn to a close. It has been a term of many plusses and, despite the mi-nuses that have crept in, we have all made it to the end relatively unscathed. I am amazed at what we have been able to achieve this past term in all fields related to academics and sport. Our achieve-ments have been possible because of the input of stakeholders who have played an active role in the overall scheme of things.

Thank you to all the school staff. It is comforting to know that we have people like you who have the school’s interest at heart. You have executed your tasks with confi-dence despite often being faced by difficult situations.

At the end of this term we say fare-well to Miss. Da Silva, Mr. Karota and Mrs. Marriott. We thank them for their commitment to our Do-minican family and wish them all the best for the future.

I wish you all a well-earned break. May it be for you and those nearest to you a time of relaxation in readi-ness for the months that still lie ahead of us. If you are travelling, travel safely.
