from our parish staff or ministers of care, or like to be placed on the
sick list, please call the Parish office at 847-446-7646.

Sacramental Preparations:
We are delighted to celebrate the
sacraments of Baptism & Marriage within our parish for registered families.
If you have any questions, please contact
the Parish Office at 847-446-7646.
Parish Mission Statement: Led by the Spirit to live the Gospel, our mission is to
be a welcoming Catholic Christian community,
gathered around the Eucharist, committed to
life-long faith formation, justice and loving
service to others.
FATHER MARTY’S CORNER In 2017, the State of Illinois enacted the Invest in Kids
Scholarship Tax Credit Program. This program offers a 75%
income tax credit to individuals and businesses that contribute
to the qualified Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs). The
SGOs then provide scholarships for students whose families
meet the income requirements to attend qualified, non-public
schools in Illinois. For instance, if a taxpayer donates $10,000
to an SGO they are then eligible to claim a $7,500 tax credit on
their 2018 taxes. The SGO that represents the Catholic schools
of the Archdiocese is Empower Illinois. They are responsible
for processing donations, accepting scholarship applications
and distributing scholarships to eligible students according to
the law. Individuals may direct their donations to a particular
school. There are many worthwhile Catholic schools that are
in need, but if you are looking for a recommendation please
consider St. Mathias School on the north side of Chicago.
Katie Carden, who served here at Faith Hope for 6 years, is the
principal there. Many of her students are very much in need of
scholarship assistance. Donors can begin the process by
registering with mytax.illinois.gov. Empower Illinois should be
designated as the SGO. More information can be obtained
at empowerillinois.org.

Please Make Your Gift to the 2020 Annual Catholic Appeal Come, follow me… and heal our world
This weekend, our parish will be conducting the Annual Catholic Appeal in-pew Commitment Weekend. Please remember
that the Annual Catholic Appeal is much different than a one-time special collection.
It is a pledge campaign where you can make a gift payable in installments.
The Annual Catholic Appeal theme, “Come, follow me…and heal our world,” was selected to remind us
to continue to answer Jesus’ call to follow Him in thought, word and deed by providing the necessary
contribution to fund ministries and services to share God’s love with many others in our parish and
our archdiocese.
Each pledge makes a difference! All parishes communities participate in the campaign and the gifts of many enable our
parishes, schools and ministries to deliver needed services. Thank you for your
prayerful consideration and generous response.

At the finest level of my being, You’re still with me.
We still look at each other at That level beyond sight.
We talk and laugh with each other on a level beyond touch.
We share time together in a place where time stands still.
We are still together on a level of Love.
But I cry alone for you in a place called reality.
