1. 10year old Shubham Jaglan won IJGA World Stars of Junior Golf event in Las Vegas (USA).
2. 15th IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) World Championships in Athletics Beijing (China)
1933 Atheletes from 206 countries particpiated in 47 Events.
Kenya topped the medal tally for the first time, Followed by Jamaica on second and USA at Third.
Host China was 11th. Russia, the overall winner of 2013 ended at 9th place.
India stayed at 65th place in overall medal tally with no medals won. However, India's Lalita Babar finished eighth in 3000m
steeplechase (Obstacle) event and earned one point for India. This one point gave india 65th place in medal tally.
India has won only 2 medals in all 15 Athletics world championships held so far. Both by long jumper Anju Bobby George. One
bronze was won by her in 2003 championships in Paris and one gold medal in 2005 championships in Monaco.
Usain Bolt (Jamaica) won 3 golds in 100m and 200m events and as a part of 4*400m relay.
Next (16th) IAAF world Athletics Championships will be held in London in 2017.

Organized in Copenhagen (Denmark). 623 Competitors from 96 nations Participated.
South Korea remaied at the top with 9 Medals. Denmark second with 2 Medals.
India won 2 Silver Medals. One by womens recurve archery team consisting of Laxmirani Majhi, Deepika Kumari, and Rimil Buriuly.
Other silver medal was won by Rajat Chauhann the compound category.
5. 5th National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships (Chennai).
Kerala topped the table with combined team score (both male and female) of 177.5 points among the 20 states participated. Tamil
Nadu and Haryana were second and third respectively.

India finished third in 21st Asian Athletics Championships with 4 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze Medals. This is India's best finish after
2007 in Jordan where India was placed second.
China was First (15 Gold, 13 Silver, 13 Bronze) and Qatar (7 Gold, 2 Silver, 1 Bronze) was second.
14. Asian Youth Chess Championships 2015 (Suwon South Korea)

2015 Archery World Cup is 10th edition of the annual Archery World Cup organised by World Archery Federation.
It consists of 4 preliminary stages (Legs) and Finals to be held in Mexico City. Locations are First leg in Shanghai (China), second
leg in Antalya (Turkey) third in Wroclaw (Poland) and Fourth leg in Medellin (Colombia). Finals will be held in Mexico City on 17–
18 October, 2015.
So far, South Korea is at top of Medal Tally with 18 Medals, USA second with 13 while Denmark is Third with 5 Medals.
