Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts 826 North 8th Street Restored to its early 20th century splendor, the theatre hosts a variety of performances. Lake Michigan Fishing Nothing can compare with the excitement of Great Lakes sport fishing, Coho and Chinook Salmon, Rainbow, Brown, and Lake Trout are all plentiful in Lake Michigan. About 35 licensed captains provide charter service out of Sheboygan and pier fishing is also popular. Maywood Environmental Park 3615 Mueller Road An ecology center, walking trails, and a prairie garden provide opportunities for people to interact with the natural environment at the 119-acre park (free, fee for some activities). Sheboygan County Museum 3110 Erie Avenue A stately brick house, built in the 1850s on its present site, houses the museum collection. Relocated to the site are one of the last remaining log cabins in the county, a barn which houses antique farm machinery and large implements, and an 1867 cheese factory which displays dairy-related items (free). Indian Mound Park 5000 South 9th Street Effigy mounds dating back more than 1,000 years and a beautiful nature trail make the Park a “must see” while in the area. This is a self-guided tour (free). Historic Research Center 518 Water Street A research library, housed in the historic Mill House, containing thousands of books, genealogical materials, county historical documents, and military service records (donation). Historic Sheboygan Falls Walking Tour 110 Pine Street This 1-1/2 hour self-guided tour features more than 30 significant homes, churches, commercial, and municipal buildings. The Cole District and the Downtown Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (free). PLYMOUTH What originated as a stagecoach stop on the wilderness road from Sheboygan to the interior of the state, is now the “antique capital of Sheboygan County.” This charming community is filled with quaint shops, cozy inns, inviting restaurants, and year-round recreation opportunities.

The Plymouth Center 520 E Mill Street This cultural center, based in a restored 1930s automobile dealership in downtown Plymouth, houses a historical museum and art gallery. Gallery 110 North features mixed-media changing exhibits, art classes, and performances. The historical muse-um features an Indian artifact and arrowhead ex-hibit and early upholstery shop display. Gallery and museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. Closed Mondays and holidays (free). Visitor Center/Chamber of Commerce 647 Walton Drive Information available on lodging, restaurants, stores, everyday living & city demographics. Walk up information available 24/7. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8 to 4 p.m. Antoinette, Cow Monument Highway 67 and Mill Street This fiberglass statue stands 20 feet high and weighs over 1,000 pounds. It commemorates Plymouth’s ties to the cheesemaking industry.

City Park Highway 67 and Suhrke Road Located near the Old Plank Road Trail, Plymouth’s wooded City Park has a bandshell, pavilion, picnic area, playgrounds, swimming pool/aquatic center, baseball diamond, and tennis courts. ELKHART LAKE Elkhart Lake is a charming resort village on the largest natural lake in Sheboygan County. Broughton Sheboygan Marsh Park W7039 County Road J This park and wildlife area, a recreational haven for a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts, includes over 13,000 acres. Most of the area remains as wilder-ness; however, a 30-acre developed county park, open year ‘round, includes a tavern and restaurant, a party/meeting facility, picnic areas, a play-ground, 64 campsites, canoe and boat rentals, a launch ramp, and fishing piers. Snowmobile trails connect with the County’s 228-mile trail system. The state’s tallest wooden observation tower also calls the Marsh home. It stands 80 feet tall. Elkhart Lake Depot Museum 104 South East Street This quaint museum, housed in a railroad station nearly 100 years old, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (free). Road America Highway 67 Road America, North America’s longest and finest natural road racing facility, fea-tures four miles and 14 turns on 525 rolling, wood-ed acres (fee). GREENBUSH Greenbush is the western terminus of the Old Plank Road Trail, and the point at which the Old Plank

Road Trail, the popular trails of the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit, and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail intersect. Parnell Tower County Road U off County Road A This 60-foot high observation tower offers panoramic views of the Kettle Moraine State Forest and Sheboygan County, and is the head of a 4.5-mile hiking trail. Kettle Moraine State Forest—Northern Unit The Kettle Moraine State Forest offers 61.4 miles of hiking trails, including a 33-mile segment of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, 58 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, 33 miles of bridle trails, and 28 miles of cross country ski trails, as well as, picnicking, hunting, fishing, primitive camping, mountain biking (on the Greenbush and New Fane Trails only) and sightseeing (Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources state park sticker required). Ice Age National Scenic Trail The Ice Age Trail, which meanders across Wisconsin’s glacial landscape for a thousand miles, intersects with the Old Plank Road Trail in Greenbush, where it joins the Kettle Moraine State Forest hiking trail (Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources state park sticker required). Wade House and Wesley Jung Carriage Museum W7747 Plank Road Built in the 1850s by early settlers Sylvanus and Betty Wade, the landmarked frame building was formerly a stagecoach inn. Also on the grounds are the home of Wade’s daughter and son-in-law, the Jung Carriage Museum, one of America’s finest carriage collections, and the Herrling Sawmill. The site is operated as a State of Wisconsin Historical Site (fee).
