A great interest was aroused by this competition, which indicates the great success of the Competition. And the big number of good products, several hundred, that were presented at the competition confirm the big success as well. I want to point out there were no items of dubious quality at the competition. I think this fact also confirms that the authority of the organizors has allowed raising the level of the competition from its first steps, and the competition was completely different from many other similar events in our country.

Winners of the "Vinnaya Karta Open 2004" Competition
Competition's Jury has a difficult problem — according to a world practice of carrying out of competition, medals should receive only 45% of samples. Companies-importers and manufacturers have given on competition more than 300 positions which, from their point of view, could apply for a victory. Despite of a price limit, a degree of quality it has appeared very high, and struggle for awards has turned out hardened. The Russian jury in wine competition should nominate the best samples, and the international experts — to award them final points according to which medals were distributed. Spirits were judged this time only by the Russian jury. Except for medals the special prize has been stipulated — the "Cristall Glass" trophy was handed over to the best samples in each high-quality and price category
