We will discuss ways to practice conservation in our everyday lives to help support wild parrots across the globe, and even create a fun enrichment pinecone treat for local birds to snack on! Go Wild with Zovargo How many different animal species call the rainforest home? Millions! Grab your magnifying glass and get ready to GO WILD as you discover some of the beautiful animals that make up the rainforest. You’ll also learn what we can do to help these animals that are in danger of becoming extinct! Minecraft: Go WIld & Explore the Rainforest! Take a rollercoaster journey through time to visit charismatic extinct species & investigate the causes of their extinction; enter a rainforest biome to create an ecosystem and document the extinction and finally, use the MakeCode platform to help the environment by coding your character to automatically plant new trees. Using the power of Minecraft: Education Edition, learn about Biodiversity, and explore the effects that extinction has on the environment Sounds of the Rainforest: Making a Manguaré Learn how the Bora-Huitoto People, one of the many tribes living on the Amazon forest, make and use their drums to communicate among themselves and between villages. Create and decorate a small drum replica and learn rhythmic patterns for music and communication purposes. Take home your new drum along with a guide to rhythm-making patterns to communicate with your friends and family in a new way! D.I.Y. Rainforest Terrarium Join us for "DIY Rainforest Terrariums" to learn the importance of this diverse biome, and create your very own miniature rainforest.
