Alarm Sounders

The range consists of 3 types:Roshni (available in deep andshallow base versions for flush orsurface cabling) and Askaricompact.

The Roshni sounders featureautomatic synchronisation forenhanced signal clarification onmulti sounder systems, plus 24selectable tones. A secondswitchable tone is available if athird wire is installed in thesounder circuit.

The Askari compact sounder isideal for local room use eg. hotelbedrooms. It has an ultra slimprofile and 24 selectable tones,with a second switchable toneavailable as for the Roshnisounder. Flush or surface cablingcan be accommodated.

Beacons

Four types of beacon are available,all 24v powered: The standard

beacon is available in 1.0 and 2.0Joule versions and the highefficiency beacon in 0.4 and 1.0

Joule versions. All have a red lensas standard and a shallow basewith built in terminal block.

Sounder/beacons

Two types of combinedsounder/beacon are also available:the Flashni and the Squashni. TheSquashni sounder/beacon is aninnovative design ceiling sounderwhich incorporates a universaldetector platform. It allows newdetectors and sounders to beinstalled at the same fixing pointthus saving wiring costs.Alternative applications are as aplatform for a beacon (providing acombined sounder/beacon) or as astand alone sounder.

Alarm Bells

The Kidde range of alarm bellscomprises motorised and solenoidtypes, each of which is available in4", 6" and 8" diameter. All bells are

fitted with series diodes for faultmonitoring, and comply withBS800 in respect of radiointerference. All are easy to install,with a multifixing base for the

motorised bell. The solenoid bellfeatures clip-togethercomponents, and no back box isrequired for surface mounting,thus saving on installation cost.
