Sir Rupert Hamer Records Management Award Guidelines and Nomination Form Awards Through the Sir Rupert Hamer Records Management Award, the Public Records Advisory Council (PRAC) recognises achievement in outstanding records management practice within Victorian government agencies. Agencies from all levels of government across Victoria are eligible to nominate for the Award and can nominate more than one project. Award Objectives The Award recognises excellence and innovation in records management. The Award is judged in the following requirements: 1. The project outcomes bring innovation (novelty)* to the public sector and; 2. The project and its outcomes are compliant with current PROV Standards *Please note innovation is where a product or service is transformed and that transformation is novel. The implementation of a commonly available product or service is not innovative even if it is new to the agency. Submission Guidelines Nominations should be received by Public Record Office Victoria no later than COB Friday 6 April 2018 by email to: Andrea Rae: [email protected] Please use the subject line ‘Hamer Awards Nomination’. All nominators will receive confirmation of receipt within 5 working days. Conditions of Entry 1. Nominations must be made on this official Nomination Form and should be brief and concise. Attachments should only be provided where absolutely necessary. 2. Judges decisions are final and no further correspondence will be entered into. 3. Award winners will be required to have their photograph taken for promotional purposes. Judging A panel of independent judges will assess each nomination against the Award objectives. In this case independent refers to people who are not directly or indirectly involved in the writing of Hamer Award submissions or in the specification or implementation of systems associated with such applications. Judges may award multiple winners.
