EVENTS SYDNEY BOYS HIGH SCHOOL COLLECTION DAY November2016

The annual SBH Collection Day organised specifically to help raise funds for the Sir Roden & Lady Cutler Foundations Pick Me up service took place on Friday the 4th November 2016. 210 Year 11 Sydney Boys High (SBH) students took part commencing at 7.30am through to 2.00pm around the Sydney CBD covering Central CBD, Circular Quay and Hyde Park areas as well as Bondi Junction in the Eastern Suburbs. The boys did a fantastic job in collecting $8212.00. The SBH Appeal day is now embedded in tradition and very much an integral part of the Foundation fundraising calendar. Most importantly it continues to cement the strong bond established over many years between Sir Roden’s old school (SBH) and the Foundation.

The Foundation applies yearly for Grants to various Government bodies councils & independent organisations throughout Sydney & the Inner West areas. Unfortunately we are not as successful as with our Club Grant applications but nevertheless we do however appreciate the work of local Government members throughout our regions and in particular Mr John Sidoti State Member of Drummoyne and Mr Craig Laundy Federal Member for Reid. Thankyou to West Connex & Stockland Group who through their Community Grant scheme was able to give the Foundation grants throughout the year. We would also like the thank the support of the Woollahra, Randwick & City of Canada Bay Councils for both their financial and pro bono assistance during 2016.
