Euroroof MonoSingle Layer Cold-Applied Bituminous Warm Roof

Application1. Tape joints and prime the plywood deck with Euroroof Contact Adhesive

immediately prior to installing the vapour barrier.

2. Roll out and align one layer of Euroroof Self-Adhesive Vapour Barrier Plus, providing for 75mm side and 100mm end laps. Remove the release film and firmly pressure roll the surface and laps to ensure adhesion.

3. Install Alumasc GTF polyisocyanurate insulation, bonded in the single component Euroroof PU Insulation Adhesive. Coverage rates are dependent upon the project’s design loads. Please refer to project specification and site test results for project-specific coverage rates. The curing time for the adhesive will be approximately 60 minutes at 10ºC, 30 minutes at 20ºC and 15 minutes at 30ºC.

4. Bed the Euroroof Mono high performance membrane in the single component Euroroof PU Membrane Adhesive to ensure a satisfactory bond with the underlying insulation. Please refer to the project specification for project-specific application rates. Seal 100mm side laps and 150mm end laps using a shoe-burner gas torch. Pressure roll the overlaps by using a 15kg roller. A small (approx 5-10mm) continuous bead of compound must always be visible at the joint.

5. Note: Pre-cut the lower corner of the end of each roll at 45º where it will be overlapped by the end lap of the next roll.

6. Install vapour control layer, insulation and underlay to upstands (where appropriate) as described in the project specification.

7. At upstands, ensure that the waterproofing extends at least 150mm above the finished roof surface and laps onto the adjoining roof membrane by at least 100mm. The head of the detail must be terminated with a suitable mechanical termination.

NB: Euroroof Mono waterproofing is exclusively installed by a nationwide network of Euroroof Approved Contractors.

System Componentsn Euroroof Mono is a 4.2mm thick, polyester-

reinforced SBS-modified bitumen membrane (1 x 8 m) that is intended for use as a single layer, flame-free roof waterproofing system. The integral polyester reinforcement ensures excellent mechanical strength and dimensional resistance.

n Alumasc GTF is a CFC- and HCFC-free PIR thermal insulation with plain glass-fibre tissue to both faces and is supplied in 600 by 1200mm boards and a range of thicknesses to suit the required thermal value.

n Euroroof Self-Adhesive Vapour Barrier Plus is a high performance vapour barrier, manufactured from 2.5mm thick modified bitumen and containing an integral glass-fibre reinforcement. On the underside, a polyethylene release film covers the self-adhesive coating that will provide a strong bond with the substrate.
