Day 1: Board your deluxe motorcoach this morning and travel to Syracuse, NY, our home for the night. Check in at our hotel before dinner on your own at a nearby restaurant.

Day 2: Vermont’s Green Mtns., Apple Barn. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before journeying north to the Green Mountains of Vermont. In Bennington, enjoy a tasty visit to the Apple Barn, featured on the Food Network’s $40 a Day, the Travel Channel, and Good Morning America. This afternoon, check in at our Vermont hotel nestled in the mountains of northern Vermont for a two-night stay. Our local step-on guide meets us before enjoying a savory welcome dinner. (B, D)

Day 3: Vermont’s Local Flavors. Tour northern Vermont and begin with a visit at Rock of Ages, a 50-acre, 600-foot deep granite quarry. Then tour through the state capitol, Montpelier, and visit a traditional maple sugar house for a maple demonstration and tasting. This afternoon, travel through the beautiful village of Stowe and enjoy a breathtaking gondola ride up to the highest peak in Vermont – Mount Mansfield. Next stop is at the famous Cold Hollow Cider Mill to watch cider making and enjoy free samples of cider and Vermont specialty foods. (B, D)

Day 4: Mount Washington Hotel Luncheon, Cog Railway. Say farewell to Vermont and journey into the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Arrive to New Hampshire’s famous and historic “grand hotels,” The Mount Washington Hotel. Enjoy a tour of this Grand Dame before a bountiful buffet luncheon in the main dining room. This afternoon, we’ll arrive to the Mount Washington Cog Railway for the 3-hour round trip ride that is an unforgettable experience. In 1869, the Cog Railway was an engineering marvel, a

technology of toothed cog gears, rack rails and tilted boilers. Today, we get a rare glimpse of this world gone by, magnificent views and ever-changing surroundings. Theses are some of the steepest railroad tracks in existence. Later, travel through beautiful Crawford Notch to our hotel for a relaxing two-night stay. (B, L)

Day 5: Lake Winnipesaukee Cruise, Castle in the Clouds, Kancamagus Highway. Following breakfast we’ll tour through New Hampshire’s Lakes Region and White Mountains. Arrive to Weir’s Beach to board the M/S Mount Washington for a scenic cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee, the state’s largest and most beautiful lake. Following the cruise, we’ll visit Castle in the Clouds. Built in 1914, this New Hampshire icon will give you a real sense of how country life was lived by the fabulously wealthy at the turn of the century. This afternoon, tour along one of the country’s most scenic by-ways, the Kancamagus Highway enroute back to our hotel. (B, D)

Day 6: Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, York & Lobster Cruise. Depart for “down east” Maine where we begin with a tour of the popular summer resort of Kennebunkport. Enjoy a scenic drive along the ocean to Walker’s Point, passing the well-known summer home of President George HW Bush. Continue on to the quaint seaside village of Ogunquit,

named by the Abenaki Indians meaning “beautiful place by the sea.” Board the “Finestkind” cruises for a first-hand lobstering experience. Then it’s on to the village of York with a visit to one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country, the Cape Neddick Light, known as “the Nubble.” Check into your hotel and take some time to freshen up before enjoying a traditional down east Clambake and a chance to try Maine lobster (chicken alternate). (B, D)

Day 7: This morning, we bid farewell to New England and travel to Lewisburg, PA for our last overnight. (B)

Day 8: Today we journey home, taking with us fond memories of our Taste of New England tour. (B) Responsibility: This tour is under the management of Taylor Tours, Inc. acting solely as agent.
