Singh had worked for one company for quite some time, but he held positions

with increasing authority and an impressive global focus. The design elements

on the resume play up his different global roles and each position is strongly

supported by a keyword-rich section and compelling achievements. The reader

can quickly understand the “40,000 foot view” of his success in each role by

reading the highlighted success stories. When I write I like to give the reader

options for digesting content. In this example, they can quickly understand

career progression and immediately understand his career highlights. But they

can also read the resume on a more granular level by focusing on the keywords

and associated accomplishments that are most relevant to them. I believe this is

critical, because most people who read resumes view them like they would a

website…they are searching for key content quickly in a consistent format.

This style achieves that.
