I am especially concerned about the long term destabilizing effects of the traumatization of Iraqi youth by violence, displacement, and fear. I urge you to work with the Administration and Congress to significantly increase funding for humanitarian assistance and provide security to the IDP populations in Iraq and to the Iraqi refugees struggling in nearby countries.
