He pointed out that the Government is pumping in more Skill Development will be core of all Govt. schemes: Minister resources in many industrial, textile and automobile parks and such Park should include a relevant Skill Development institution. Addressing a Webinar, Shri Goyal said, the National Education Policy (NEP) being implemented across the country also lays stress on Skill Development. It envisages Dual Degree programmes, tie-ups with foreign Port Blair, Oct. 8 Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) celebrated its 21 st Raising Day today with a Ceremonial Parade by contingents of its Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard components. Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN) reviewed the parade at INS Utkrosh. The pride and josh of each participating contingent from the only Joint Services Command of the nation reflected the level of integration of all arms and evolution of jointsmanship culture at the ANC. In his address, the Commander-in-Chief conveyed his heartiest felicitations to all the personnel and families of ANC and acknowledged their contribution towards the operational readiness of ANC. He lauded the personnel on the achievements of the Command over the last few years, which included efficient safeguarding of the Islands, coastline, territorial waters and EEZ, apart from conducting various National and multi- national exercises, HADR missions and Aid to Civil Authorities. He also spoke about gradual building up of forces to include men, weapons and equipment to Port Blair, Oct. 8 An interactive session was held in the District Office conference hall under the chairmanship of Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner (SA) for the augmentation of ground water resources in the Islands. Scientists from Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) and officers from different line Departments were present. The DC (SA) asked all the owners of commercial organisation to apply for No Objection Certificate (NOC) for their commercial establishments and clarify all their doubts with CGWA. He emphasized that NOC is necessary for maintaining sufficient level of ground water and its quality without affecting the natural aqua-system. Creating awareness about NOC for extraction of ground water by industries, infrastructure projects and mining projects was the major objective of the session. There were many clarifications asked by bulk water suppliers regarding non availability of form for which the CGWA scientists have assured that for bulk water supply, the NOC certificate form will be uploaded on the website very soon. The DC (SA) is designated by CGWA as the authority for enforcement of NOC for ground water extraction in the District. There are more than 45 hotels and resorts which have not taken NOC in South Andaman District. Therefore, DC (SA) emphasized that action will be initiated against those who do not apply for NOC and violators of the provisions of NOC will be penalized. The DC (SA) and CGWA reiterated that NOC is compulsory for all commercial establishments extracting ground water and requested them to do so by following the rules and procedures established by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, a press release from DC (SA) said. Farmers' Corner- A Knowledge Hub

Mangifera andamanica is a rare and endemicspecies of the Island. This species is distributed inChouldhari and forests of Chidiyatapu. This wild mangospecies is conserved at field gene bank of ICAR-CIARIand also registered with NBPGR (ICAR- National Bureauof Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi) with IC No 04060to receive national identity. The species is characterizedby tall trees (9-12 m), spreading tree habit with ellipticoblong leaves and notched apex. Fruits are round, small in size and characterized byshining orange yellow peel colour. The fruit weight ranges from 25 -35 g with totalsoluble solids in the range of 12-18o B. The raw mangoes of this species are used inpickle making as little sour in taste and the pulp is rich in phytochemicals. No seriouspest and disease is reported from this species. This endemic mango (M. andamanica)can be propagated by seeds and grafting. For conservation of gene pool which is rare,planting can be taken up in gene banks, botanical gardens and in-situ conservation inwild.Benefit: M. andamanicais a rare and endemic species of the Islandwhich is potentiallyvaluable for breeding programmes.Conservation of this species will help in wideningthe genetic base and as a source of bioactive compounds.Contact person with Name, Designation e-mail and phone no: Dr. K. Andaman Nicobar Pollution Control Committee (ANPCC), Department of Science & Technology, pending

2. The eligibility conditions (qualification, age etc.) will be determined as on the last date of receipt of

application i.e. 25/10/2021.

3. The candidates are required to submit the copies of the certificates along with the Application Form and

should not send Original Certificates with their application form.

4. Incomplete or unsigned applications are liable to be rejected or cancelled. Application Form must be

legible to read and understand.

5. The candidates will be short listed based on their academic performance in the ratio of 10 candidates per

vacancy. The shortlisted candidates will be called to attend interview at Port Blair and the expenses will be

borne by the candidates.

6. To make the whole process thoroughly transparent the candidate himself/herself will do the self

marking in the column 6 of serial No.7(a) of the application form (Annexure) as per the marking scheme

given below based on the respective qualifying examination of Board / University :
