The year 2000 was a thrill in the lives of every simulations lover there is. After re-creating theface of the world in SimCity,

Maxis decided to concentrate on small scale simulations. The idea at first was to create an

architectural simulator and have some Sims evaluate the newly designed houses. Turned outhowever that the life simulation of the Sims was much more captivating than the beautiful

houses you can build. So thats how the idea of a life simulating game came. These small 3D

characters are virtual people with careers, likings and dislikings. They need friends, food, sleep,

hygiene and tons of fun. Theyll get angry if theyre in a bad mood, theyll get married and

have children if they find their match. The only thing they wont do is dying of old age.

Theyll die of hunger or in an accident, but time will always be good on them and make them

immortals.

The game was received so well by the public that no less than seven expansion packs followed,

not counting the compilations that offered bonus objects every time. The success continued with

the second title in the series, The Sims 2 that came with better graphics, more crazy stories, tons

of new places and ideas and finally the ability to see your Sims get old.

The Sims: Livin Large allowed for the first time the creation of multiple neighborhoods. Of

course it also included more home objects, events and career paths. The Sims: House Party was

probably the poorest expansion released as it only featured more objects fit for a party, costumes

and a few new radio stations. The Sims: Hot Date allowed you to finally get your virtual people

out on a romantic date to the newly established stylish neighborhood Downtown. Heres the

place to get something to eat, see the latest fashion tendencies and get all the gifts and books youwant. Its basically the hottest spot in the city to spend money and make lots of friends fast.

The Sims: Vacation extended the virtual life even more. Since the little people usually spend a

lot of time working it is only fair for them to take a vacation from time to time and enjoy some

relaxing days to luxurious hotels on the beach or head to the mountains to prove their creativity

in snowboarding contests. The Sims: Unleashed decided that it was time for our little friends to

learn more about pets and farming. Your Sims no longer need to suffer from hunger as they

spend all money. They can just tend to the vegetable garden in the back until they find the job of

their dreams and store the fresh food for later use. The Sims: Superstar created a genuine

Hollywood-like place for the Sims to follow their twinkle star. Studio Town allows your Sims to

become celebrities, bow to the applauses of their fans and sign tons of autographs. Finally The

Sims: MakinMagic appeals to the dreamer in you. As the small folks move in the new house

a mysterious man rings the bell and drops a few presents that include you own direct hole-way to

Magic Town. Revenge will be so much sweeter as you increase your witch / warlock powers.

With all the various compilations released and all the changes of the cheat codes a list of codes

with the respective explanations is available. To bring up the console all you need to do is press

To get your Sim's stats full first push shift ctrl c. Then type in move_objects on. Use the hand

tool and click on your Sim than press delete. Your Sim will disappear. As you click on the Sim's

picture it will reappear with full stats.

More Magicoins (The Sims: MakinMagic)

You can make your magical fortune by repeatedly evicting and moving back in the whole family.

Every time you do that, the Mysterious Man will drop by with everything you need to start using

magic, including 35 Magicoins. Get yourself an as big share as youd like.

Hidden PictureAt the Start-up screen, click on the ''MAXIS'' symbol in the lower-left hand corner. Thiswill bring up a very odd picture. Click on ''OK'' to close the picture.

Information about a tileIf you type ''tile_information on'' (without quotes) then when you mouse arrow is over a

tile, information about that tile pops up. To turn it off, simply replace on with off.

Lots of Quick CashGo to the cheat menu and type in the code for 1000 simoleons (klapaucius, or rosebud for

the patched version). Press enter. Go to the cheat menu again, and fill it up with !;!;!;!...etc. When it's full, delete the last ! and put some other character in there instead. Weight

down the enter key with something, such as a paperweight or fork. The window will pop

up to tell you that there's no such code, but it will still give you 1000 simoleons for every

! still there, and your weight will make the box go away and continue to give you lots ofmoney. Go away, and do something else for awhile. When you return, you'll be filthy

stinking rich. Be warned, though. If you do this for too long, your funds will go into the

negatives.

Slow Down (or Stop) the Decreasing of Sims' NeedsOn the bar on the bottom of the screen, there are the Sim's faces. If you watch their needs

when you rapidly click their faces, the needs wont decrease that much. The little redarrow that indicates that the Sim needs that need more will come quickly then leave right

away. This works effectively but you cant really do anything while your clicking.

Glitches

Avoid Paying BillsYou'll need to have enough money to pay the bill first.

If you don't want to pay a bill (e.g. It'll leave you with next to nothing, or you just plain

don't want to), then have a Sim pick up the bill and proceed to pay it. But before they

reach the mail box to pay it, go into Buy Mode and buy until you don't have enough to

cover the bill (e.g. if the bill is 800, then buy until you have 799 or less). Then go backto Live Mode. The Sim will go to the mail box and pay the bill, but you won't have lost

any money. Then just go back into Buy Mode and sell back what you just bought. Being

the same day, you'll get all your money back.

First bring up the cheat window, then type in the ''move_objects on'' code. Now, save the

game, and when that's done, any time you want to regenerate happy fully-green-bar sims,

pause the game, select them and delete them. Now press play, and click on thier heads,and they should pop up somewhere, with all of thier bars fully green. PLEASE NOTE-if

you are working on their skills like charisma and whatnot, you MUST save the game

BEFORE deleting them! If you do not save the game, they will appear again as if yourestarted the game, and thier skills will be lost!!

Give your Sims a bunch of skill points effortlesslyWhen in Create-A-Sim mode, create a child with no personality points and name themsomething like 'M'. Now edit the child Sim you just made and turn them into an adult, re-

name them anything you like and make them look anyway you want them to. You canalso give them personality points now. Create the family and once you move them into alot, look at their skills. You'll see they'll have a bunch of random skill points you'd

normally have to work for.

Set Specific Speed of GameplayDuring gameplay, press Ctrl+Shift+C to bring up the cheat menu. Enter 'sim_speed

XXXX' but replace "XXXX" with a number between -1000 and 1000. -1000 slows thegame down the most. 1000 speeds the game up so much that it won't show changes in

More NeighborhoodsTo get more neighborhoods go to your maxis folder and open the sims. Then copy one of

the folders that say ''UserData'' and a number those numbers are the neighborhoods makesure the one you copy has no families or houses in it and then paste it in there and rename

drive.

Easter Eggs

See Jane, Sunny, and El Viz PerformFirst, buy yourself two of the "Fancy Feet Dancer" cakes. This will NOT work unless you

have more than one cake.

To See Jane The Dancing Gorilla:

For the first cake, hire the female dancer. Now, go to the second cake and try to hireanother female dancer. The game will say that you have already hired a female dancer.

Ignore the game and keep trying to hire one. After 5 or 6 times, a large pink gorilla

named Jane will pop out of the cake and dance for you!

To See Sunny or El VizNow, I'm not sure how to get the character you want for this one, because as far as I can

tell its completely random. Anyway, to see Sunny or El Viz, do the exact same thing youdid to get Jane, only hire a male dancer. Again, after about 5 or 6 tries, eigher Sunny the

dancing clown or El Viz, a boxer who looks a bit like Elvis will pop out of the cake.

Slow Down (or Stop) the Decreasing of Sims' NeedsOn the bar on the bottom of the screen, there are the Sim's faces. If you watch their needs

when you rapidly click their faces, the needs wont decrease that much. The little red

arrow that indicates that the Sim needs that need more will come quickly then leave rightaway. This works effectively but you cant really do anything while your clicking.

(sometimes the Sim will disappear with the tub,if this happens than try doing it

again.)The Sim will stand up-nude!
