ample Problem

adios, Oscilloscopes, and Calculators

n electronics firm has 1000 employee-hours per day for the productioscilloscopes, radios, and calculators. By license agreement the firm nly manufacture ten calculators per day. Furthermore, each radio anscilloscope must pass through the soldering facility that is limited to 2mployee-hours of work per day. Each radio requires two hours in theoldering facility and each oscilloscope requires five hours. Calculatorot enter the soldering group. Each oscilloscope radio, and calculatorquires 20, 5, and 4 employee-hours, respectively, to produce. If eac

scilloscope, radio, and calculator returns a profit of $120, $50, and $6spectively,

how many of each item should the firm produce to maximize its incomhow much of each resource is left unused, andwhat is the firm's profit?
