G E T T I N G S T AR T E D

This pattern is like the name implies Simple so look at it more as an approach, and adjust according to

your own taste. The dimensions I’ve given is the size I got with my gauge, yours will probably vary, so just

make sure you like the tightness of your knit and the width of your scarf. As an FYI, if I were to knit this

again I would keep knitting and go for ca. 200 instead of 165 cm. Adjust the width by adding or subtract-

ing pairs of 2, when you cast-on.

Yarn: 2-300 grams of Light fingerin g

Needles: 3.0 mm - US 2½

Dimensions: 60 cm x 165 cm - 23” x 66”

C A S T O N

Cast on 152st. using preferred stretchy technique.

I used the German twisted Cast-on holding my needles double. A tubular cast-on would no doubt look

amazing as well.

R I B B O R D E R

Row 1

SL1, *K1, P1, *repeat until you reach the end of the row.

Repeat Row 1 making sure to continue in Rib (K’s on top of K’s, P’s on top of P’s).

Continue for 22 rows

B O D Y

Row 1

SL1, K19, PM, *P2, K2 (*Repeat until you have 20 st. left), PM, K20

 

Repeat Row 1 in Rib pattern

R I B B O R D E R + F I N I S H I N G

When you’ve reached the end of your patience repeat the rib border as described above. Bind off using

your favorite stretchy bind off. I use this basic bind off with a

larger needle. Weave in ends, wash and block lightly. Done!
