D1Optional Services

1. proofs Add $15 for a faxed or emailed proof of the entire order

and $12 for each additional proof.

2. split envelope shipments: Your entire order (invitations and addressed envelopes)

will ship together. However, if you begin your order with only a portion of your addresses, each additional shipment, up until the full quantity of your invitations is ordered, will ship for an additional $15 fee, plus shipping.

Additional envelopes (above and beyond the quantity of invitations ordered) will be charged a flat rate of $5 per envelope.

3. ship direct orders: When shipping an order directly to a customer, be sure to

clearly indicate on your order form the address to which the order should be shipped. The fee for this service can be found on our shipping costs page.

4. rush services Rush services are available, please see

www.checkernet.com/paidrush for current pricing and details.

5. cancellations Should you wish to cancel your order, Checkerboard

will bill you only for the work already completed, at a minimum of $40 to cover processing and typesetting costs.

6. foreign language (proof included) For typesetting service in a foreign language using the

Roman alphabet and associated accents, add $25 per order. This price includes one proof for your approval.

7. special typesetting Certain areas on the invitation have been designed to hold

text. Within those areas, you have a lot of control over how text looks, such as your choice of typestyles and type sizes. However, text is limited to the areas where it is currently positioned. Custom quotes are available.

8. customer artwork Submit clean and clear artwork at www.checkernet.com/

artwork at no additional charge for thermography when it will be printed in the same ink color and on the same side as the rest of the item. (Otherwise, Second Side Printing or Second Color of Ink charges will apply.)

Artwork for thermography should be black & white or grayscale. The clarity of your submitted artwork directly affects the quality of your finished job. We reserve the right to resize your artwork for the best presentation. When using supplied artwork, a proof is highly recommended.

We accept tiff and pdf formats, and we recommend a resolution of 300 dpi for grayscale and at least 600 dpi for black and white. If you are sending a logo with thin lines or fine details, we recommend a resolution of at least 800 dpi.

9. low gloss thermography Our Low Gloss thermography is available on all items

that are shown in thermography. Add $60 to your order. Please specify LOW GLOSS on your order form.

10. second color thermography ink (or second side printing)

Add a flat fee of $125 per item when a second color of ink is being added.

11. second color of letterpress ink

Add a flat fee of $185 per item when a second color of Letterpress ink is being added.

12. color matching (on cream or white papers)

If you want a special color of thermography ink and supply us with the Pantone Matching System (pms) number, add $100 to your order. If you supply us with a printed sample of the color that you would like matched, add $125 per order. We will come very close but cannot guarantee a perfect match. Color Matching is only available on cream or white papers.

how to order customized layering On the order form under “Special Instructions,” list the full name of each layer of your printed piece. important—to avoid confusion: 1. list each of the papers that make up your invitation. 2. list the full name of the papers as listed on the Checkerboard’s selection of papers pages. of requesting “Black,” please write “Jet.”

1. conversionIf you can translate from English to Hebrew (or have access to someone who can), you can use our hebrew lettering order form available under the Dealer Resources section of www.checkernet.com. Otherwise, see “Translation” below.

1. First, you or your translator should translate from English into Hebrew, using Hebrew characters.

2. Then, using Checkerboard’s separate form entitled english/hebrew conversion chart, you or your translator locates the Hebrew characters in your translation. On the hebrew lettering order form, enter the English key stroke found above each Hebrew character.

IMPORTANT! This is NOT a translation chart. You cannot translate from English to Hebrew using this chart; you can only convert Hebrew characters to English key strokes. This chart is designed so that we may key in the correct Hebrew characters, even though the English looks like gibberish!

Be sure to place the English key strokes from the conversion chart in the exact place you want the Hebrew characters to appear on your invitation. For example, if the right-most character in your Hebrew translation is “Aleph,” be sure to put the English character “A” in the box furthest to the right. Continue to enter the characters from right to left on each line as needed, until you have completed the conversion.

3. Select the Hebrew typestyle you want and enter it on the line labeled “Typestyle” at the top of the hebrew lettering order form.

4. Add $20 for the first line and $10 for each additional line for this conversion service.

5. You will receive one free proof of the Hebrew for you to review and approve. Any new proofs will be charged at our standard rate.

2. translation If you do not have access to someone who can help you with the method described above, Checkerboard can complete the English-to-Hebrew translation for you. We also use this method when provided with Hebrew characters. Our translator converts the Hebrew to English key strokes.

1. Give us the English text you want translated. Be sure to give us the Hebrew name when requesting a name translation: For example, Roberta may be Shoshana.

2. Select a Hebrew typestyle and indicate on your personalized order form exactly where you want the Hebrew positioned.

3. Add $25 per line for this translation service.

4. You will receive one free proof of the Hebrew for you to review and approve. Any new proofs will be charged at our standard rate.

5. Please understand that this translation process will add up to five days to the delivery date of your proof.
