DRAFTINGTHEBASIC SKIRT SLOPERObjectives: At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:1. Identify the measurements, tools and materials needed in drafting basic of Skirt sloper.2. Perform in drafting Basic Skirt Sloper3. Value the importance of Basic Skirt Sloper trade terms

Trade Terms:

Skirt = is another kind of free hanging garment extendingfrom the waist down around the legs.

Drafting = an engineering method based on a set of body measurement.

Sloper = a cardboard copy of the basic pattern that dart areas and seam allowance cut away.

Apex Distance = measurement is taken across from the tip of the left bust point to the tip of the right bust point.Hip Depth = measurement is taken from waist-line down to the fullest part of the hip.

skirt length = taken from the waist-line to the desired length.Skirt width = measurement is taken from the circumference of the hemline of the skirt.

Hips = measurement is taken from the fullest part of the hips.waist = measurement is taken around the smallest part of the body. measurement neededMeasurement needed:WaistSkirt lengthHip depthSkirt widthHipsApex distance

Tools / materials needed

Tools and materials needed are:L-squareHip curvePencilManila paperTape measure

Reminders

Reminders:Always presence of mind when drafting the patternUse the proper tools and materials needed.Be sure to have an accurate body measurementsClean the area after working.Return the tools and materials in the proper place. procedure

Procedures:1. draw a perpendicular line2. Measure A to B as skirt length3. Measure Hip Depth A to C4. Measure waist A to D add 1inch for dart measurement5. Measure A to A1, lower inch back and inch for front.6. Measure hip measurements C to E

7.Measure skirt width B to F8. Measure A to G as apex distance extended 4 inch line downward to J.9. Measure inch both from G, mark H and I then connect H to J, I to J using L-square for the dart.10. From F raised inch and mark that as K11. Connect B to K with a slightly curve using hip curve.12. Connect D to E with the hip curve 13. Connect E to F with a straight line using L-square.14. Connect A1 to D as slightly curve using hip curve.Video presentation

How to draft a pencil skirt sloper (Part 1 of 2).mp4RubricsAccuracy20%Speed25%Attitude10%Neatness of work10%Quality of work35%Total100%Rubrics:Accuracy = the quality of being near to the value.Speed = a rate (usually rapid) at which something happen.Attitude = a complex mental state involving beliefs and feeling, values and dispositions to act in certain ways.Neatness of work = presentation was neat and orderly. Quality of work = All procedure were followed correctly IV. EvaluationDirection: In sheet of paper, choose the letter of the correct answer .
