2013 Pool ScheduleSilverlake HOA has a new website!
Have you heard the news? The Silverlake HOA now has a new website available to its residents and the public! The purpose of our website is to improve communications between our members and allow our members to quickly find all types of information. We are currently working on bringing all of the features online, so be sure to check the website frequently for updates.
Here are some of the features that are available on the website:ADDRESS BOOK – this is a searchable database of all
community residents. You have complete authority over what information you would like to have others see, such as your hobbies or other interests.
ANNOUNCEMENTS – now you can let your neighbors know of upcoming community events or club meetings.
CLASSIFIEDS – you can place and find ads for babysitters, lawn mowing, dog walking, etc.
BALL PARK RESERVATION SYSTEM – you can now reserve the Stonebridge ball fields in a much easier fashion.
GARAGE SALES – you can post your upcoming Garage Sale and items that are available on the website. Your posting will show up in both the public and private areas of the website.
HOMES FOR LEASE/RENT – you can now list your home as a rental on the website.
HOMES FOR SALE – you can now list your home for sale and include pictures as well.
REQUESTS AND QUESTIONS – this is your way to communicate directly with PCMI and the Board. The website now allows you to upload files and pictures as needed.
REVIEWS – we’ve all asked for referrals on local vendors, so now we have a place to store those vendors’ contact information and reviews.
The website offers a good deal more, so check it out and add some information to it! The website will only be as good as you make it!

More than 400 Berry Miller Junior High students recently participated in the school’s annual Science Fair. The students, all enrolled in the school’s pre-AP advanced science program, spent the past several months recording data and determining results for their individual projects.
Tri-fold exhibits and presentation binders were proudly displayed for the numerous parents, peers and guests in attendance. Enthusiastic students presented their projects to passers-by, and were also assigned a “scavenger hunt of questions” created by teachers, which prompted them to study the room and their peers’ projects to determine the answers.
The projects were required to show a testable question, hypothesis, list of materials used, data analysis and conclusion. Students were encouraged to use creativity to bring artistic elements and individuality into their projects, and the event was not only educational, but visually appealing and celebratory.
Advanced science curriculum educator Damon Rayburn stated, “The Science Fair is something the students and faculty look forward to each year. It is exciting and challenging for
our young scientists to select a project that interests them, determine and record results, and present their findings to the community. This group will be moving on to high school next year, and all of this higher level of thinking, learning and expression will benefit them as they proceed into more advanced academics.”
