SilverCityQuiltGuildNEWSLETTER
SEPTEMBER,2016
NotefromthePresident:
Hello Silver City Quilters! I hope you had a happy and healthy summer. I can't believe it's time to start up again. Where did the summer go? I just want to thank you all for your confidence in my role as your president. I'll do my best to fulfill the responsibilities that go along with the position but it will be hard to fill Janet's shoes! I have already received a lot of support and have gotten my toes a little wet with leading the August Executive Board/Committees meeting. I'm excited about this guild year and look forward to the meeting on the 19th. Please feel free to come to me with any comments, questions or concerns you might have. BTW...I love chocolate. See you on Monday at our new meeting place, St. Andrews Church at 19 Kilmer Avenue in Taunton! Patty Roberts SCQG President (Wow!)

Fromthe2017QuiltChairs:
It’s hard to believe that the 2017 Grayola Quilt Show will be taking place next in just 12 months. Our ‘Garden of Stars’ Raffle Quilt is completed and ready to make its travels around quilt shops. Raffle tickets will be ready for pick up at the September meeting. Each member will receive five books of tickets.

And, most importantly, we need lots of hands to help; Committee Chairs, Co-Chairs and happy helpers. We will be making a big push at the September meeting to get all of the Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs in place. We’ve made it so easy for you with a point by point check-list of things that need attending to and deadline dates. Thank you to all who have already stepped up to help. Please consider volunteering for a committee. Working to have the Show dates confirmed by the September meeting. Looking forward to seeing you at the September meeting.
