SilproPaver™ Sand is a proprietary mixture comprising polymers, sand, and various other components to produce a unique sand for use in filling the joints on driveways, patios, pool decks and walkways.SilproPaver™ Sand differs from conventional sand in that it becomes extremely hard and durable once water has been applied to it. After SilproPaver™ Sand has been misted with water and allowed to dry, its distinctive combination of ingredients and polymers form a very strong and dense joint that bonds pavers, including concrete, brick and stone, yet remains flexible enough to withstand movement.

a p p l i c a t i o nMake sure that the surface of the pavers is clean and dry. Note: All areas where SilproPaver™ Sand is to be used should have some incline designed for drainage.Note: When installing SilproPaver™ Sand on an existing paver job, clean out the existing joints down to the bottom of the paver. Do not disturb bedding material. Apply SilproPaver™ Sand on the pavers and sweep in between the paver joints with a stiff bristle construction broom.Compact the pavers/sand with a vibrating plate at least three (3) times.Remove excess SilproPaver™ Sand from the paver surface with a fine bristle broom. (Note: Take care to remove all residual SilproPaver™ Sand from the surface of the pavers. This can be accomplished with a blower or vacuum unit). The SilproPaver™ Sand should be a minimum of 1/8 in. (3mm) below the surface of the pavers.From a minimum of 3-5 feet above the pavers, apply a mist of water into the air as to hit to a designated section of the paver joints for approximetly 15 seconds. Allow 3-4 minutes to settle.Mist the pavers again at a closer proximity (approx. 2 feet/0.6 meters). This time, the mist should be directed at the pavers and while misting the joints, direct the mist at the paver surface

Repeat this step one more time and discontinue when a minimal amount of water is retained on the joints.Use a blower or vacuum unit to remove all remaining water from the surface. This will also serve to eliminate any remaining residual SilproPaver™ Sand from the surface.Note: The application of excess water during these steps can loosen the SilproPaver™ Sand within the joints and cause the SilproPaver™ Sand to perform incorrectly. SilproPaver™ Sand residue left on the surface of the pavers can produce a hazy, white surface that will fade with time or is removable with any cleaner designed to remove efflorescence from concrete.
