1. National Lok Adalat to be held on 14.04.2018.

2. Hold Legal Aid Clinics in Jails (East at Gangtok & South at Namchi) including Plea

Bargaining as one of the subjects for UTP’s by Panel Advocates under the supervision of

DLSAs.

3. Legal awareness programmes by DLSAs/TLSCs under Micro Legal Literacy Scheme on

Environmental Laws on the occasion of “Earth Day” falling on April 22, 2018 (Sunday) and

NALSA (Legal Services to Disaster Victims through Legal Services Authorities) Scheme,

2010.

4. Hold regular Lok Adalats by DLSAs & TLSCs.

5. Monitoring the activities of Student Legal Literacy Clubs established in High Schools and

Colleges by DLSAs and TLSCs and also progress of “Lessons in Law” for Classes IX and XI

and reports to be submitted within a week thereafter to Sikkim SLSA.

6. Meeting of Monitoring Committee set up under the NALSA’s (Free and Competent Legal

Services) Regulations, 2010.

7. Refreshers Training Programme on the 10 new Schemes of NALSA to be conducted by

DLSAs/TLSCs to the PLVs.

8. Meeting of the DLSAs and TLSCs with the Panel Lawyers and PLV’s on 3rd/4th Saturday.

9. Hold Legal Aid Clinics by trained PLV’s and Panel Advocates under the supervision of

DLSAs on every Wednesday and Saturday in all the Block Administrative Centres/ADR

13. Painting Competition on ‘Nature’ for all the Child Care Institutes/Destitute Homes by Sikkim

SLSA in co-ordination with the respective DLSAs (East: 07, North: 04, West: 02, South:04)

on April 15, 2018 (Sunday).

14. Sensitization programme on ‘Victims of Acid Attack’ for Judicial Officers and stakeholders by

Sikkim SLSA in co-ordination with Sikkim Judicial Academy in the Auditorium of High

Court of Sikkim on April 21, 2018 (Saturday).

15. Training Programme of Para-Legal Volunteers including teachers on April 28, 2018

(Saturday) at Chintan Bhawan, Gangtok.

16. Legal Awareness Discourses on Road Safety/ Ragging/Drug Abuse & POCSO by involving

the Police Deptt. (Traffic) and Panel Advocates for the Legal Literacy Clubs in Schools (East:

09, North:04, South: 10, West: 14) (school-level).

the occasion of “Labour Day/Week” falling on May 1, 2018 by involving the Nodal Officers

of the District Administration and Social Welfare Deptt., Labour Deptt., H.R.D.D. and

Agriculture/Horticulture Deptt. for connecting unorganized sector workers to the welfare

schemes and availing benefits under the Central/State Schemes and educational rights

provided to the children of such workers.

2. Hold regular Lok Adalats by DLSAs & TLSCs.

3. Meeting of Monitoring Committee set up under the NALSA’s (Free and Competent Legal

Services) Regulations, 2010.

4. Hold Legal Aid Clinics by trained PLV’s and Panel Advocates under the supervision of

DLSAs on every Wednesday and Saturday in all the Block Administrative Centres/ADR

Centres.

5. Meeting of the DLSAs and TLSCs with the Panel Lawyers and PLV’s on 3rd/4th Saturday.

6. Holding of Legal Services Camp at State Central Prison, Rongyek jointly by DLSA (East &

North) in co-ordination with Sikkim SLSA and District Prison, Boomtar, South Sikkim.

Objective being ensuring legal representation, plea-bargaining and also for any other legal

problem and their family might face on account of their being behind the bar.

Holding of Legal Services Camps in accordance with newly approved model of NALSA by

DLSAs (East & North combined) and (South & West combined).

8. On the spot Painting Competition on ‘Environment’ from Classes I to V under the supervision

of DLSAs/TLSCs (school level).

9. SLSA to arrange visit of students of Legal Literacy Clubs in Schools to their respective

District Court Complexes in batches of 40-50 by involving Panel Advocates who would brief

them with regard to court functioning followed by interactive session with Judges, Public

Prosecutors and Others as per NALSA’s Guidelines for Legal Literacy Clubs in Schools

(school level).

10. State Meet of SLSA on May, 2018.

11. Telecast & broadcasting of Legal Services Programmes on Doordarshan/All India Radio by

Panel Advocates of Sikkim SLSA on Labour Rights and NALSA Schemes on (Legal Services

to the Workers in the Unorganized Sector) Scheme, 2015 by Sikkim SLSA on or before May

6, 2018 (Sunday).

12. Visit to the Old Age Home at Ishwarambha Samiti Sangh at Ranipool and Lee Aal Old Age

Home at Tintek by the student PLVs of Sikkim Govt. Law College, Burtuk to provide legal

services and to interact with the Senior Citizens to find out whether the welfare schemes are

being availed by them and if not, refer the matter to Sikkim SLSA (college level).

13. Interactive session with the family members of the inmates arrested under SADA at State

Central Prison, Rongyek, East Sikkim on May, 19,2018 (Saturday).

29th, 2018 (Thursday & Friday) for South & West District at Namchi (summer vacation of

schools w.e.f. 28th June, 2018 to 22nd July, 2018)

15. Skit on the subject ‘Child Labour’ to be organized by Sikkim SLSA in co-ordination with

Sikkim Govt. Law College, ICFAI University and Sikkim University in the public places

(college level).

16. Debate Competition (English) on the topic Violation of Human Rights by Police

Authorities/Right to Property for the students of Colleges/Universities in Sikkim on June 2,

2018 (Saturday)

13. Awareness lectures on the importance of Fundamental Duties as envisaged in Article 51A of

the Constitution of India for the Legal Literacy Clubs in Schools by Sikkim SLSA in co-

ordination with the DLSAs/TLSCs in one of the Auditoriums of Deorali Girls Sen. Sec.

School/T.N.A./T.N.H.S.S. on July 28, 2018 (Saturday) (school level).
