PROJECT REQUIREMENTSThe project required a flooring solution that could withstand high levels of foot traffic while also being easy to clean and maintain.

During the specification stage, Sika Australia met with the engineering and project management team to formulate a national specification for all plants. Following successful installations in their Sydney plant Sika presented a specification blueprint for the sites nationally.

PROJECT DESCRIPTIONCoca-Cola Amatil is one of the largest bottlers of non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverages in the Asia-Pacific region and one of the world’s top five Coca-Cola bottlers. With CCA embarking on a national upgrade of their bottling lines within their production facilities in Sydney, Melbourne Adelaide and Perth a suitable manufacturing flooring solution for all facilities was required.

Post tender, Sika instigated a further site meeting between all parties including the client Sika, the Head contractor and flooring installer.

These meeting were a key initiative to ensure the National specification was successfully implemented. Following the successful installation of the floors for the national project, Sikafloor has been adopted as the preferred protection option and ongoing works in these plants

SIKA SOLUTIONRecommended experienced Flooring contractors were nominated by Sika for work in each state. Along with this independent testing was commissioned to confirm the compatibility of the Sikafloor systems with the CC Amatil products. VOC and long term exposure levels were tested resulting in the three Sikafloor options in the National specification being cleared by CC Amatil for use in their plants.Turnaround time on these short time projects was a vital element.

In each case Sikas Market field Manager for Flooring as well as local Technical representatives held pre project meetings to evaluate the specific local requirements of each site with CC Amatil Project engineers.
