The General Staff has discussed an assessment by the military's Northern Command of an emerging threat from Syria and Hizbullah over the next year. Northern Command said a

weakened Syria, under pressure from the United States to withdraw from Lebanon, was likely to approve an Iranian-

Hizbullah campaign against Israel.

Military sources said this assessment was the latest by several senior officers who envision a major war with Syria by by the

end of this year.

Israel warned Damascus it would go on the offensive against Syrian army positions in Lebanon if Hezbollah,

the Syrian-backed Lebanese militia, launched attacks across the border.

In addition to the warning to Damascus, the IDF has begun preparations for a "worst-case" outcome. Ten days ago, an armored division received

an emergencyorder that moved it to the Golan Heights, on the border with Syria, to

reinforce troops based there.

Israel also placed its submarine flotilla on high alert. Military sources said three German-built submarines - the Tekuma, Dolphin and Leviathan

-- hadstarted a 21-day shift in the Persian Gulf. The submarines are believed to

be equipped with nuclear warheads, but would only come into play in the

event of an all-out regional war, according to sources.

When Syria attacks Israel and is destroyed, Russia will have to intervene - scripture tells us they will be drawn down to

attack Israel as if being hooked and pulled down. The hook is that they pledged to protect Syria!

Ezek. 39:9-10 Israel will dispose of the weapons for 7 years! Therefore, this must take place PRIOR to or at the start of the Tribulation. The burning of the

weapons should be complete before the second coming of Jesus Christ.Ezek. 39:11-16 It will take 7 months to bury the dead! They will wait 7 months to start - they will send teams in to ‘tag’ bones left on the surface and teams to

bury those bones - could this be a result of chemical or nuclear weapons?Russia has supplied the Arab world with weapons and men every time they

attack Israel!Most of the countries that are mentioned are Islamic/Moslem countries today. They include Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan,Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya,

Ethiopia, and possibly part of Sudan. Remember, Syria is not mentioned because

Persia or Iran (Elam)

Iran is a Persian state rather than Arab, but it shares the same religion with the Moslem Arabs, Islam. Peace will come between Israel and Iran by

means of destruction according to Jeremiah 49:34-39.

So, Iran is not listed with the Psalms 83 countries and it appears it won’t attack until after the

Psalms 83 war.
